A useful psychological twist |

By and large, * voters and "undecided" are so in essence because * is A stupid, cowardly, tricky, and incompetent liar. That's what they like about him because that's what they feel about themselves. Therefore, hammering those nails is only likely to reinforce *'s voters base. They will come up with all kinds of reasons for their choice, but the real ones are too close to home, and probably unconscious in most cases, to be acknowledged.

nobody thinks of themselves those ways you describe. They may have those traits, but they deny them and are part of the national conservative psychological epidemic.
