|
Edited on Mon Oct-25-04 02:20 PM by Pirate Smile
100,000 newly registered people in Philly. Dem's say 9 out of 10 are Democrats.
edit to add: CNN reports 100,000-120,000

If there are 9 out of ten Democrats in Philly I can see why Tweety said 10k He was referring to pubs. Now if that many pubs were at the rally that really tells you something

12. I thought there were WAY more than 10,000 too! |
|
I have no idea how to estimate crowds, but when I saw that crowd on the MSNBC show, no matter which way they panned the samera, you couldn't see an end to the crowd! That looked like a lot more than the numbers at even a good rally.
I also think police & fire departments tend to always estimate on the lower side.

19. They sure tout Bush's big crowds - |
|
My dad said "they" (cable news, I'm sure) were saying 250,000 this weekend at a rally in Florida.
I think there were that many there today. You could look down the Parkway and see a solid mass of people all the way to City Hall.
