I think I'll let the kids stay up as long as they want - we'll be busy with the election returns, and they've seen how hard I've worked on this. They've even been to a few things alongside me. This is a made-in-heaven civics class that they get to live, and to witness first-hand. I won't have them missing it. We may even blow off karate that night, since it's a Tuesday. Too much else going on.
