Edited on Mon Oct-25-04 02:09 PM by Perky
This was a moumnetal failure on the ground. I am not giving * an out...not at all..Just that any president has to assume that his militarty leaders are not idiots.

How the hell do you walk off with 350 metric tons of anything?????

The argument that * is responsible is in the general unpreparedness to prosecute the peace effectively.

Rhenquist ornot this is the big story for the next three news cycles.

Rove better tell Bush to cour-martial someone...or he just lost the election....for the second time.

1. You don't just "walk off" with this stuff
You need trucks and lots of men. I can't believe our spy satellites and other reconaissance didn't pick this up at the time it was happening. There's some kind of gross breakdown if not systemic incompetence going on here. And it raises the question, what else did they miss?

9. They did pick it up
We actually heard about this a while ago. Maybe a week or two...and it was reported then that actual trailer trucks were hauling the stuff off. Our defense contractors probably re-gifting. Or giving the boys in the rebuilding business some job security.

This is SO fucked up.

10. Less than zero! I love that!
I can see an ad now, that shows shrub's score card on Iraq with a graph that registers a zero midline, and +/- 100. Items like capture of Saddam shows line up to 20%, then WMD back to zero, then Loss of WMD's, line drops below -100.

5. The Iraqis...
were looting their own national treasures...they were pulling wires out of walls so why wouldn't they "walk off" with a megaton weapons cache?

12. yep not enough Boots on the ground
I really think some one ought to surve time in Leavenworth for this. this is just gross mismanagement in the field.

Bodes well for the argument that Bush does not have enough boots on the ground.
