Brace Yourselves for another Bush/Rove "stunt" ...It's Coming
Time for Tom Ridge to trot out and terrify everyone?

You know the bastards are going to pull some crap between now and Nov 2nd, so brace yourselves.

Other than terror alerts, what do you folks think Bush/Rove will try to pull to seize the momentum away from us?

Maybe Kerry-Edwards should try to preempt a likely list of Bushbot tricks so as to deflate them?

1. I think the elevation of the terror alert will be raised
or they'll bring out Osama.

2. Actually there has been some talk on the Vreeland threads
that the next attack may be next weekend in the twin cities. Some are specualting it may be the Mall of the Americas

8.  if they're empty, i'd support mall bombings
Edited on Mon Oct-25-04 03:43 PM by meganmonkey
as long as no one gets hurt

Edit: I am just kidding here - I don't condone bombing malls or anything else. Sorry if this was taken the wrong way.
just some anti-consumerism sarcasm.

10. Idiotic talk......
IF America is attacked AGAIN it'll only prove Bush can't keep us safe. The American people would be up in arms and would vote his ass out quicker than you could say Bushwhacked.

If anything it'll be a thwarted terrorist attack.

16. Thwarted terrorist attack?
Now the question is, what exactly does that mean?

There's a right wing lunatic over on another board I frequent who claims that "you'll never know what kind of horrors George Bush has saved us from already"

As if there WERE actual Al Qaeda events in progress and Superchimp stopped them by His All Powerful Self?? That's the implication of what this guy believes....

So what would they do? Round up the alleged "missing Chechens with backpacks" who would be conveniently found with plans to blow up elementary schools on their persons.

I don't see a thwarted attack scenario going over with the public - unless theres verifiable evidence. Especially not after all the bullshit "orange alerts".

They will arrange for an attack, and the attackers won't know it, but they will be stabbed in the back. Someone will drop the dime on them, and they'll be arrested with their materials to great acclaim.

Funny how a warning that hasn't actually been made concerns you more than something that is far more believable

21. Easy: trump up a phoney terrorist plot, and arrest some "perps"
All shrub has to do is send the FBI to arrest a few brown muslim immigrants, hold them indefinitely without access to counsel for two weeks, and claim on TV that thanks to the reforms he's put in place a major terrorist attack was thwarted.

This is not rocket science.

After the inauguration, they can be released or tried by a military court however bush deems fit.

17. The Vreeland "threat" is a SCAM
Go do a search on "Vreeland"

You'll see the same handful of people starting thread after thread, and none of them have ANY evidence to support them. They're making it up out of thin air.

14. That sure plays into our hands
Wake up, Dems. You want Bush appointing the next two or three members of the Supreme Court?

That's doom well beyond four years.

4. Wolves only attack when they sense weakness
so if they attack before Bush is removed from office, it must mean Bush is weak and they are hurrying up to attack before the Strong Kerry can get into office.

13. No they don't
They "attack" when they're hungry, and they usually take the weaker members of the deer herd or whatever they're stalking.

Let's stop using wolves as a metaphor for humans. Wolves are not evil or mean or nasty; they're wolves. They have no choice in how to behave; we do.

5. There Will Be No Great Event, Sir
Rove is hugely over-rated: he is no more twelve feet tall than the Soviets were. These people are helpless in the face of the determination of the great mass of the people to evict these incompetent reptiles from the office they usurped....

"LET'S GO GET THOSE BUSH BASTARDS!"

"terrorist" attack to get sympathy for the "commander in chief". These people are rotten.

12. Sunday or Monday... watch out!
No time to investigate before the election, and gets everyone in obvious panic mode in just enough time to vote (or NOT vote)...and why not..."they told us there's 350 tons of explosives missing just this week...was this part of it?!?!?". Of course, this assumes they don't cancel the election altogether and speedily enact Bubble Boy's permanent kingship.

The question at hand--do they raise the alert level FIRST, or do the deed first, THEN raise the alert level?

9. Dang. I just sent my tinfoil hat out for cleaning
so I don't know if the extraterrestrial rays are influencing my thoughts or not right now, but the voices & I have been holding a conference & we think that the most likely scenario is for some kinda charges to emerge at the last minute, when there is no time to adequately refute them. These charges will be "sorta credible," and will be intended to be serious enough to give the undecideds some pause about voting for Kerry. Maybe a paid bimbo will come forward with a "love child" & claims of Kerry DNA, or something like that.

They also perceive Teresa as vulnerable so expect something weird levelled against her. I swear that some of these wingnuts see Teresa as a better target for hatred and vitriol than even Hillary, because of the $$ and being foreign-born.

22. I don't think there's gonna be a Bush/Rove Stunt?
What does it mean when Rove testifies to the Plame GJ, and then days later Rove & Bush exchange words and Rove lies down in front of Airforce one?

I love the smell of desperation in the morning.

For a stunt, maybe Rove will hypnotize Dubya and make him squawk like a chicken and lay an eggs-aggerayshun on CNN.
