he mentions Chris Shays (R-CT) being in a Democratic-friendly district, but this is not the case. It is famous for its blue-blooded Republicans. Lots of old money, million dollar homes & the like in Shays' district.
That said, the distict has long been liberal on social issues and they have a tradition of moderate Republicans (Shays has been there for years, and before him was another moderate in Stu McKinney, who was also there for years.)
