I use to think Iraq was about Neo-Con wet dreams, but now I'm back to Oil!
My knowledge of the Neo-Con PNAC boys kept me from jumping on the bandwagon of those who thought this war was all about Oil. I was convinced that these guys were more ideologically driven to conquer the Middle East than for the the desire of the Black Gold.

Well, I'm moving to the bandwagon of those who think it's ALL about oil.

This news of 380 tons of explosives unguarded while the Oil Ministry was guarded has led me to the conclusion that indeed, it was about the oil. Period!

3. Right both times.
But the neocons aren't satisfied w the Middle East. They want the world. Right now, to control the world's oil is to control the world.
So they can have their oil and boil the rest of the world in it too.

4. Oil is power
Exactly. The fight is to claim the world's oil to claim the world's power. And the only way they can see to do it is through military might. After hundreds of years that have shown it doesn't work, they keep doing the same old thing.

5. I have no problem believing both scenarios are true
Neo-con world domination and control of Middle East oil are not at all incompatible with each other in wingnut Bizarro world. If anything, I should think both those goals are indispensible to them.

7. Ari Fleischer told us what it was all about when he announced
Operation Iraqi Liberation (OIL).

There is a clip of Ari announcing this in Greg Palast's film Bush Family Fortunes: The best democracy money can buy
