2. The pundits are little more than Beltway circlejerks. . .
they don't talk to people other than politicians, DC-wannabees, and each other.

on regular TV and cable, you get practically THE SAME FEW people on, all the time. They really don't talk to anyone outside their cozy little circle. Some call it groupthink. I call it "circlejerking"

they seem to be hedging their bets now though...cautiously suggesting that Kerry actually has a chance.
