Creatively firghting back :)

For the past two weeks my new neighbor (who bought my Dem friend's house) has had a handyman working on her house. The handyman had a Bush sticker on his car and put a Bush sign in the yard whenever he was in the house. This house is directly across the street from my driveway. A week ago, I began parking my car with my Kerry stickers in the driveway instead of in my garage. On Friday, the guy showed up with a Veterans for Bush sign in his back window. I answered with a Kerry Edwards sign on either side of my driveway.

Today, when the handyman arrived, he set up his portable radio in the garage and set it to RW radio at full blast. Normally, I wouldn't hear it, but this is the time of year when we can actually turn off the ac and open the windows. The jerk decided that the neighbors really needed to hear Rush. I got even :). I have a very loud central vacuum system located in my garage. I decided it was time to do a thorough fall cleaning. I did take a break from cleaning, while I turned on every tv in the house (at full volume) to the Kerry/Clinton rally. The guy finally caved and packed up his radio. I know it's petty, but it felt good. On a more constructive note, I did address and 200 postcards for a local Dem candidate today too.

Today I happened to have to run home at lunch time, well on my way back to work I noticed I was about to pull up next to an SUV plastered with B* bumpers stickers, with all his windows down. As I pulled up I switched my cd player to my CCR cd and proceeded to blast him with Fortunate Son. We pulled away and I got just a little bit in front of him just so he could see my Kerry stickers and then I slowed down so he could hear the song. He was freakin pissed after having to sit through 3 red lights while I played it over and over. I think he yelled something, but I couldn't hear anything, I did notice the middle finger salute which I returned with a polite Nazi salute.

Is this a great country or what?!

I did a visibility this past weekend. Just me and a friend taking to the street in front of a WalMart (hehe). I had two signs - one with a big W so that it read War-monger, Wasteful, Worst. President. Ever. and another that says "Respected Abroad - Safer At Home Vote Kerry-Edwards" and I'd switch them out occasionally. I was holding up the big W sign and I did get the one finger salute from an old white man in a pickup truck. Being as this is Georgia, I didn't see if he had all his teeth or if he was wearing overalls, but I do know that I pissed off one Republican, so my work there was done!
