Poll question: How much of a chance does Kerry have of winning? |
|
I'll say 80%. My feeling is 90%, but subtract 10% for caution and for the fact that the Repukes could try anything. And also for the fact that there are still many brainwashed voters out there.

I'm worried about the touchscreen machines and Bush's immovable base of idiots and plutocrats, but-based on the observable actions of the B/C '04 campaign-I think we have a very real edge.
Look at the flailing nonsense they've been engaging in: hysterical rhetoric from Cheney, insultingly blatant commercials, Junior's frantic near-weekly trips to Ohio. Are these the actions of people who think they've got it in the bag, who look at their internal polls and say, "No problem, we'll just steal a little more"? Plausible deniability is important, but I think that whatever scam they've got in mind may not carry the day.

My husband likes to refer to these changes as 'twigs in a stream', all gathering together into a huge mass. Things like 'Extreme Home Makeovers' being such a hit - helping people in trouble. Fahrenheit 911, Ron Reagan and Christopher Reeve's wife on stem cell research, the Right/Wrong track polls, huge increase in voter registration; all add up to a change in November.
