Three stories heard on NPR during a 10-minute drive in the car |
|
1. The missing explosives in Iraq, and the US coverup.
2. Halliburton allowed to keep billions of dollars despite their inability to account for what the money's paying for.
3. US deporting detainees from Iraq against Geneva conventions, and the coverup.
One would think that ANY of these should be treated as a major scandal in the "mainstream" media, yet they don't get the time given to the "Mary Cheney Issue" or the "Teresa Heinz Kerry Gaffe."
Unbelievable.

1. Believe me, if a Dem were in office it would be a major scandal. |

Even grounds for impeachment. But this should tell us all just who in this country controls the media pundits.

2. NPR seems to be coming around |

They realize that credible news is lacking in the market place. I have been pleased with their coverage over the past 2 weeks or so. Even Liason has been fine.

the snippet of "All Things Considered" I heard just a half hour ago led with Bush on the stump, then went to Kerry/Clinton in Philly, and then back to Bush having Giuliani tag along. I thought that was pretty uneven coverage. Maybe I missed something though.
