I wish Big Dawg could seek a third term....

I am firmly for Kerry...this post in no way diminishes his candidacy...just making observations about Clintion.

Dayum is he looking and sounding good. Even though the Republicans tried to ruin him--to demolish his reputation and to send him forever to the shadows of American politics--he holds every bit of esteem he has ever held, and more. He is a true, distinguished statesman, and I think many Americans have waken up to realize that his presidency was a "golden age," especially when compared to Bush's.

Bringing him out of the campaign trail was the right decision. Lord let this man stay involved in politics for many more decades...we are lucky to have him. (And I am saying this even though I have been very critical of some policy decisions he made during his presidency, while at the same time realizing how difficult it was for him to work with a Republican-majority legislature.)

2. My 85 year old uncle, who is a life long hard core republican, says that
if Bush wins he hopes the GOP rams through a Constittuional amendment repealing the 22nd amendment so that Clinton could run and kick Bush's ass in 2008.

7. Thanks. You are right about him
He is an intelligent and interesting guy who only completed 8th grade, served in WWII, was a farmer all his life (and a truck driver in the winter) and can not believe that the US invaded another sovereign nation without provocation. He also is disgusted by Bush's incessant lying and spending. He is very disappointed in many of his friends who are voting for Bush.

8. Sounds like a great guy. Reminds me of so many of the...
"Depression Era" children. My dad is one. I love hearing the opinions of elderly voters. Sometimes we yungstas like to think that we know oh-so much more than them, but the true wisdom is theirs, in their years and experiences.

You're lucky to have a man like this around. :-)

4. Just wait...
...until the Republicans try to repeal the 22nd Amendment as Orrin Hatch has suggested, supposedly so that Schwarzenegger can run (but in my opinion, in preparation for an additional Bush term). Can you picture Bill Clinton shredding Dubya like mozzarella? I can. Perhaps that's the reason the GOP haven't pursued the idea as vigorously as Hatch might like?

5. I never thought I'd wish for such a thing during Clinton's presidency. But
here I am agreeing that if it weren't for all of the other great potential Democratic candidates out there (Count me in as another person excited by the prospect of a future Obama presidency!) I could easily go for another term under Bill Clinton. He was far from perfect in many ways, but still far greater than any Republican president in my lifetime.

Even the me of 4 years ago would be shocked to here how much my mind has changed on this.
