1. Sure, they're covering their bases.
If * wins, they'll conveniently forget about all those concerns.

When Kerry wins, they'll whine for the next 4, no EIGHT years how he was elected fraudulently. Twice.

5. No they're not...
they know exactly what they're doing and they're playing from a pre-written script according to their plan. That plan is to lay this type of media groundwork for lawsuits over this ghost vote fraud. They're dutifully repeating it and will likely cite "numerous pre-election media reports" in their lawsuits when they try to overturn the will of the people. They are also cultivating public opinion on this so that it will become expected on election day because it has been talked about for the previous two weeks. They don't want any surprises here.

Rest assured, they know exactly what they are doing.

6. Sounds as if they all have gotten the latest...
... Rove memo. Plant the seeds of doubt about election results now, so they grow on election day.

Plan for lots of outrage from the right if on Tuesday night it looks as if the election is going for Kerry. The mainstream press will pick up on accusations of fraud, regardless of the looniness of the sources.

10. By "voter problem" I believe they mean hordes of people actually
exercising their right to vote in our democracy.

They'd like to supress as many votes as possible, and yet, we're the liberal "elitists".

13. So, what do you suppose Kerry's going to be impeached for?
Assaulting Republican Senator Chic Hecht from behind?

15. The simplest way to stop this known Rove tactic dead
Edited on Mon Oct-25-04 08:17 PM by billyoc
in it's tracks, is to GOTV and insure a clear mandate, an absolute landslide. I really can feel the momentum, DU'ers that I've read reporting massive KE signs in neighborhoods all over supposed "red" states, etc. BTW, what is it about a state that would make it want to sacrifice it's sons and daughters for a perpetual war for oil and empire? That whole demographic just doesn't seem to track with me, even if you factor in homophobia and that anti-choice BS that you hear from all over the right wing.

I really feel that a lot of so-called red states are going to swing to KE because of the mistreatment of the armed forces in Iraq. To wit:

1. Abu Ghraib being hung around the necks of a few reservists, from RED STATES.

2. Units being locked into their barracks', unable to even go out for a smoke for 2 weeks before they get on the plane for Iraq, from RED STATES.

3. National Guard and Reserve units being sent to Iraq without working vehicles or even *RIFLES* in some cases, from RED STATES.

I've lived and worked in the south, LA, TX, FL, and one thing they do *not* take kindly to, is any affront to the armed forces. That just doesn't play well AT ALL.

I think the neocons are in for a rude awakening on Nov. 3. That being said, this is no time to let up, by any stretch of the imagination. Now is the time that we've really got to turn it on, man, full court press. My union here in NYC is working phone banks to call swing states right up to the wire.

We can do this, and we *are* doing it. I'm glad I found DU to talk about these things, especially for the final two weeks. We talk to each other in New York, of course, but it's good to here about other efforts all over the country, hell, all over the world. I read an entry today from an Aussie living in Canada, who said that they had won over a dozen or so undecideds! HA! Now *that's* the kind of grass roots political activity I've been looking for, go Aussie(sorry I forgot your name :) )

Man, I really feel good about this.
