Right-Wing Newsmax Campaign Buzz: early voting "not going well" for Bush
http://email.newsmax.com/ir.shtml

tee hee. States "like" Florida? What other states "like" Florida would they be referring to (which allow early voting) and of those states, in which are we whipping the Monkey-Boy? And "Republicans expected this". Oh, really?

NewsMax's intelligence network hears:

• Early results. Polling of early convenience voting in states like Florida are not going well for President Bush. Republicans expected this, with the enormous resources pumped into the voter efforts of Democrats.

1. It's the right wing strategy to motivate their base.
They're sunk and they know it.

3. If even Newsmax can see it
there must be some kind of landslide in the making.

15. Absentee voters were the original early voters and they were almost
always more repub. I remember waiting for votes on election night in Chicago and worrying about the effect of the absentee voters. Don't know if that applies anymore. I think all bets are off -- we can't compare this election to anything in the past.

I agree with those who think there will be a real shock for a lot of pundits and pollsters on election night.

13. Since we've only had early voting since 2002
it probably hard to make generalizations yet. But from what I remember in 2002, I thought early voting favored the repugs then?

27. We had early voting in Tennessee in 2000
and that's how the Shrub beat Gore in Gore's home state.

Early voting - in the past four years - has favored Republicans. It was a HUGE deal in Tennessee and I live here, so I got to hear about it a lot - take my word for it.

In other words, the Republicans are getting :scared:

17. Do you have a link for that?
Historically, I'd probably agree. But I'd like to see historical percentages to make a more informed call.

6. you started to see whispers about this a few days ago
And really you could just tell by the way Bush and his schills (the one that see the internals) reacted, they were nervous even when Gallup had him up 8! I remember someone posted early Iowa results that showed us swamping the repugs

It's not reflected in the numbers completely, but the trends started to come together today with the Wapo and Rasmussen numbers, Zogby is being held back by an outlier on Saturday but Kerry polled well Sunday.

8. Don't believe it!
If the electronic rags can convince the drooling masses that Bush is a little behind in the early voting, it will keep them animated. They'd just love to have the Dems get complacent.

12. Yes you are right
This is just their way to motivate people to vote.

And think about it. A huge turnout by Xtians next Tues could be disastrous for Kerry.

So hold this story. SHHHH!!! :)

23. This Christian and the rest of my Christian family will be voting Kerry
lots of folks in our church are active in the Dem party. Are we to understand that we're not welcome?

Perhaps tolerance and inclusiveness could be extended to us too?

16. They're doing this to get out their base.
Nothing more, I'll bet. I'm guessing they're seeing the D/R split for the early voting and pre-emptively freaking out (pre-emptively being the operative).

My guess, for what it's worth.

on their web site where is might be more widely read.

20. My own theory...
...people who actually do the whole subscription thing are a little more die-hard. The web is no-man's land; you can't know if you are talking to like-minded folks or enemies. Subscriptions? Money? Someone cares enough to pay you for your "insight." Or that is my take on it. ;-)

22. Perhaps they are waiting until the machines are all "zero-ed out"
before Nov 2:scared:

I am dreading the aftermath.. Do we trust the "folks" who are securing all these early vapor-votes?? How would we begin to challenge their non-existence..

24. It is scary, especially since that judge threw out the lawsuit today
that asked for paper verification of the votes. But, I still pin my hopes on truth, justice and the American way. Bush can't take that away from us any longer.

25. I hope Arizona is a state "like" Florida
Snowbirds up the wazoo. Colored red last time around, has early voting. Uncomfortable as heck to live in either during the summer. Tolerable in the winter.

I sure hope Arizona is a state like Florida.

26. I Voted Early In Arizona Today
I think Arizona might go blue - but I'm biased because I live in Tucson and it's very Democratic here.

I might not be so confident if I lived in Phoenix which I hear is much more Bushie.
