for some dumbass reason.

Rehnquist, with his surgery...if the election gets litigated and goes to the S.C., and he's not there- it's 4-4!!!!

Talk about an OCTOBER SURPRISE...but it sure ain't for Rove!!

... so Bush and the (likely) Republicans in Congress can push through a replacement before he must leave office.
