I am convinced that all the media polling Bush ahead are doing it to keep
Bush from having a nervous breakdown before Nov. 2. They keep telling the king that his clothes are beautiful. Otherwise, Bush's volitile nature would send him into tailspin that even his handlers would not be able to control. He looks prime for a breakdown on slightest bad news. The news about the missing explosives has sent him to the edge. They were keeping that news from him most of the day but wait until tomorrow when it has sunk in his empty head. He and Cheney will be lashing out with some of the most vicious diatribes against Kerry and it will make them look like the scum they really are. That's my opinion.

1. There may be some slanting
but I bet not a lot.

Fear is a powerful motivator in the ignorant. Bush's scare tactics are keeping it close.

2. Research polling whores, being paid by media whores, to make....
...political whores look like winners.

4. I wonder...
When it's time for him to vacate the premises, do you think they'll need those guys in the white suits to drag him out kicking and screaming :o -??

Will his cowboy boots leave skidmarks on the marble floors as they remove him? :o -??

5. Do you think his staff will trash the WH offices
like they accused Clinton's folks of doing in 2001?

Maybe they will remove the Ks from all the keyboards? :)

6. Remember, the polls averaged * ahead by 4 two days before the 2000
election. Don't sweat it.

8. The real poll
is the Nov 2. Bush is heading for a total defeat. You can tell the media, and fox propaganda machine are all getting desperate. Bush is trying to hold on to his last straw the 9/11 to install fear in votes' mind. Bush keeps saying that Kerry is not going to be strong enough against terror. Give me a break who is he to judge Kerry, Bush failed pre 9/11 to protect America and failed post- 9/11 to capture the enemy who attacked America.

9. my guess is a little different
(a) the media love conflict. The story is more interesting if the race is close, so they are more likely to promote the polls that are closer then the race might really be.
(b) likely voter profile the pollsters are using do not reflect the increase in turnout everyone expects. Large turnout typically helps the Dem's.

11. That's my take
A close race keeps people coming back. And traditional measures of likely voters are not accurate when the people are this fired up.

10. I think they are doing it because they want to keep voter turnout low
Edited on Mon Oct-25-04 10:34 PM by notadmblnd
They're trying to discourage Dems from coming out on Nov 2. and what better way really? Trying to make us think it's hopeless. But if what I saw tonight happens on Nov 2, it's the pukes that will be staying home and Kerry will win in a landslide!
