Anyone have any good ideas for harassing a Freeper Jerk? |
|
Edited on Mon Oct-25-04 10:09 PM by anti-bush on wheels
While out canvassing yesterday, I had a red-faced jerk go ballistic on me. It was funny in a way, his attack dogs never threatened me, but he was yelling and telling me to get the hell out and can't you read? and all sorts of nasty shit. I have his address and phone, any ideas.....i could sign him up for stuff or.........?

address it to him with the wrong street number so his neighbors receive his catalog.

3. Know what it feels like. |

As I told you great fellow-DUers, I went to Yuma, Arizona to help out. Was canvassing. Had some right-winger go off on me, telling me to stay on my side of the border (in California). I just was polite, and kind of laughed. Apologized lightly for not seeing his Bush/Cheney sign. Was a social worker. Used to having people go off. Boy, though, was he a jerk. Neighbors said he was normally a semi-decent guy. But since the campaign began in earnest, he's gone nutty.

7. Ignore him; forget about him. |
|
Some freeper asshat isn't worth the effort it takes to hassle him. No matter what you do or say, you aren't going to change his mind, and the sort of retailiation you seem to be suggesting might even be an illegal form of harassment. Let it go -- talk to people who might be persuaded. That's useful; getting even with an asshole isn't.

I wouldn't do anything, at one time I would, but now I can forget it. I won't forgive....in fact if shrub gets reselected I am going to a have a real hard time forgiving anyone who would jepordize our democracy (or ruin it) by voting for him.

8. Make a donation to the ACLU in is name |
|
Use his address and make enough of a donation to make him a member of the ACLU so they send him a card. Use a money order for the donation. You do a good deed of donating cash to the ACLU, plus you get your revenge!

That's a good one. And if you have enough money sitting around, you could donate to all kinds of other "librul" causes in his name. Imagine the surprise.......

He's sitting on his duff, big man all ready to yell at someone who knocks on his door. But he's being marginalized by your good efforts. Don't waste a minute on the doofus, just keep doing what you're doing.

First, make sure you block your number from caller ID and..
secondly, call him at 3:30 in the morning asking if you can count on him for his support to the Bush/Cheney campaign.
Then call again in 2 days.. at 4:00 a.m. and do the same thing.

That's the best use of our time and energy, and the best "punishment" for Freepers everywhere.
Take the high road. It leads to the White House, this time.

about this post.
Why would you come here and ask for ideas on how to harrass someone - something that may in fact be illegal?
This post sounds like freeper bait to be used in some right wing reporters' attack piece on DU and other Democratic websites...

You went to HIS place, and you were not welcome - what is there to pay him back for?
Like I said - this sounds like bait to get all those evil dems to plot and scheme to harrass a person who was doing nothing more than telling someone who was not welcome to piss off.
If you are genuine, then I suggest you forget about him and move on. Retaliation (of any kind) is NOT an appropriate response.
