I was watching the end of Scarborough...Pat Buchanan was guest hosting. At the end of the show tonight he essentially lambasted Lawrence O'Donnell for his outbursts last Friday night. He specifically criticized him for using personal attacks and not furthering the discussion.
When are the republicans going to understand that we are PISSED??? Bush has divided this country in ways I haven't seen since Viet Nam. He has stolen our country and we plan to take it back...Kudos to you Lawrence, for telling it like it is. -P

2. Was O'Donnell there to defend himself? |
|
Edited on Mon Oct-25-04 10:11 PM by high density
Pat Buchanan is just trying to shore up those Republican viewers who probably sent nasty emails after that exchange on Friday.
John O'Neill's crew is all about using personal attacks, so I'm not sure what the difference is.

3. No O'Donnell Wasn't There |
|
He was not there to defend himself tonight. It sounds as if he got taken to the woodshed by MSNBC. Buchhanan stated that it would never happen again.
Sad..very sad that we cannot express ourselves in the same manner as the republicans have throughout this campaign.

I guess they take the brawl on the road. O'Donnel laid down a beating on Buchanan and crew.

12. Awsie, you said it. She is the hottest reporter on political TV. |

But I can even watch FAUX when Laurie Duhe is on. I think it's because I don't pay any attention to what she says.

15. Like William Floyd's nickname (ex of the 49ers): Bar None |

Norah is so All-American cute I don't care what she says as long as it rambles. I'm even a member of a Norah O'Donnell group somewhere on the internet, although it generally sucks.
I block FOX News from my channel lineup, but I've seen and remember Laurie Duhe. She would have more of a chance with me if brunette:)

9. What's with your subject title? |
|
If you agree with O'Donnell, why would you insist that he got spanked, in two threads no less?
Buchanon is a racist pig. Any spanking he does is to his monkey.

Getting spanked is getting spanked. I didn't say I agreed with it. I think that pat was way out of line for his comments.
Let's not read too much into subject titles...it means what it means.

18. Well then, allow me to retort. |
|
I am certain that most people feel that getting "spanked" is akin to being successfully countered in a rhetorical argument.
Now, if you think that this is true, that Buchanon got the best of O'Donnell, then I question your judgement in the matter as how Buchanon is a known political operative and avowed racist.
And I wouldn't bring this up normally, but you insisted on using the subject title twice.

I see, perhaps you are right in how you interpret "spanked." You see, I was using the spanked term to refer to the fact that he was (rightly or wrongly...wrongly in this case) taken to the woodshed...get it. That is...his employers (MSNBC) "talked" to him. Can you see the connection???
Having said that, I think you are correct...
Perhaps I should titled the post: "Lawrence O'Donnell WRONGLY Criticized By That Fuckhead Lying Racist Asshole Pat Buchanon For Telling The Truth About The SwiftBoat LIARS..."
You see Toby...I thought it was obvious.

I'm guessing he criticized Ann Coulter for her shit when she got her full hour on Scarborough Country too, right? No? Damned liberal media.

22. Republicans are real tough |
|
Against people who aren't there, or against inanimate objects like a piece of videotape or audiotape. Buchanan gets all faux-het-up about O'Donnell, but doesn't invite him on the show for a frank exchange in real time and meat space.
Because Pat's owie knee that kept him out of Vietnam wouldn't be the only thing hurtin' for certain after O'Donnell got done with him. Buchanan's a panty-waist.
