2. Some morbid questions that should be explored?
Edited on Mon Oct-25-04 11:06 PM by djg21
What quantity of the 380 tons of looted explosive would have been sufficient to take down the WTC? Stated another way, how many WTCs could be taken down with the missing 380 tons of explosive?

How does such monumental and inexplicable negligence jibe with this President's assertions that we are safer from terrorism because of his policies?

16. Two tons at most
They dropped the Seattle Kingdome with two tons of explosives.

All you would have needed to do to drop the WTC is clip the supporting girders at certain exact locations and down she would have come.

6. Well that was fun, sneering at the pathetic little rightwingnuts
Poor freaky ignorant little morons. How sad a life they must lead, so ignorant, so full of hate and SO DAMN WRONG all the time about everything.

Too bad we can't give them their dream come true; a nice dictatorship 100% safe from terrorism, progress and liberalism...a permanent move of their asses to North Korea. They'd be so happy there.

7. Send it to CNN
They're running with the Drudge story and I guess NBC is too. Sad, sad world we live in.

8. NBC isn't running with Drudge's bullshit.
NBC mentions the Pentagon official saying the troops found the Al Qaqaa site INTACT.

9. Here's what they say
Which seems an awful lot different than what was said on April 5.

"NBC News reported that on April 10, 2003, its crew was embedded with the U.S. Army's 101st Airborne Division when troops arrived at the Al Qaqaa storage facility south of Baghdad.

While the troops found large stockpiles of conventional explosives, they did not find HMX or RDX, the types of powerful explosives that reportedly went missing, according to NBC."

10. That's what CNN SAYS NBC says...but NBC DOESN'T SAY THAT!
ARRRRGH I'm soooo FRUSTRATED!!! *stamp*

I can't find ANYTHING about this on NBC's site ANYWHERE! Every article on NBC's site about these explosives ALL refer to the Pentagon official that says the explosives were still there, intact & sealed AFTER the invasion.

11. Yes, I know
Just trying to get him up to date, and that was before this morning's NBC reports too.

Dana Lewis was the embed with the 101st airborne, who supposedly went into al qaqaa. I haven't found anything either. Been looking for an hour or so. Very weird.

12. trial balloon spin on missing weapons = WMD's?
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x1172356#1172498

lou dobbs last night with Peggy Noonan

NOONAN: All right, well, let's start with it.

Look, war is hell. War is a mess. It looks like hundreds of tons of these horrible explosives, which can do many terrible things in many terrible ways, are missing. I've talked to people about it all day today. The first thought I had was, whoa! I thought there were no weapons of mass destruction. This sounds like a weapon of mass destruction to me.

13. Yet they weren't WMD's which is why Iraq was allowed to keep them.
Supposedly the Iraqis said they could use them for demolition and construction projects since they were "dual use" items. The UN inspectors kept tabs on the place since they were concerned about WMD's and other uses to which the explosives could be put. (Like for nukes.) Which is why the IAEA told the US to make sure they checked out the site and how important it was to be secure.

Ah well, Noonan's a hack. Besides that, I find her "mannered" manner really, really annoying.

15. I truly would have expected even an idiot rightwingnut to have understood
that bush DID NOT invade Iraq for 'WMD' that was already KNOWN and SECURED and MONITORED and SEALED.

Not only would bush have failed to get one single 'yes' vote had he tried that, he would have been laughed and mocked and ridiculed and drummed right out of the White House.

bush said we had to invade because Iraq had HIDDEN UNKNOWN UNRECORDED 'WMD'.

Peggy the incredibly stupid idiot can wrongfully call conventional explosives 'WMD' all she likes, but what does she NOT understand about the FACT that these conventional explosives were KNOWN and SECURED and MONITORED and SEALED and ALLOWED in Iraq since 1991???

How the HELL can ANYONE truly be THAT STUPID??? Even the stupid freepers aren't THAT stupid, GEEEEEZ!!!
