US Could Shoot Down Euro GPS Satellites If Used By China In Wartime: Report

Galileo, a constellation of 30 satellites and ground stations due to go into operation in 2008, is being launched by the European Union and the European Space Agency to tap into a growing market of global satellite positioning.

The United States could attack Europe's planned network of global positioning satellites if it was used by a hostile power such as China, The Business weekly reported Sunday.

If we're at war with someone we have every right to do what we need to do to win. Jamming/destroying europe's satellites would be no different than a blockade.

On Edit: One would hope that a diplomatic aproach could be met with our european allies, if not, they would be siding against us and in my opinion would be an enemy. This isn't to be confused with the Iraq war where they disagreed with us, with the satellite's they would literally be on the other side.

5. GPS
Wonder what would happen to all of those GPS enabled super-soldier gear when the Chinese wipe out most of the known spy satellites. Of course, we won't know, because CNN will be out of commission as well (awwww!). Ratchet up that fear factor, George!! We gotta scare the American people before they vote for someone who might actually NEGOTIATE with Europe and China rather than ATTACK them.
