Haaaahahaaa!!! Stupid freepers!
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/1257002/posts

It seems they think this NYT story is going to be another "RatherGate." Wow, are they in for a surprise. I feel bad for them. First Sinclair folds, then Drudge misleads them again...then Bush loses the reelection. Sorry, freepers, you are on a sinking ship!!:bounce: The more Bush tries to deny the truth of this matter, the longer the story will have legs. So keep on trying freepers!

2. Amazingly enough it's from CBS News again:
http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/iraq/la-fg-cbs26oct26,1,7450662.story?coll=la-home-headlines

NEW YORK — CBS News' "60 Minutes" landed a major story last week: the disappearance in Iraq of a large cache of explosives supposed to be under guard by the U.S. military. But the network nevertheless found itself in the journalistically awkward position of playing catch-up when it wasn't able to get the piece on the air as soon as its reporting partner, the New York Times, which made the report its lead story Monday.

Breaking the story would have been a welcome coup for CBS News as it seeks to emerge from the cloud cast by its use of unverified documents in reporting on President Bush's 1970s military service.

Instead, CBS was relegated to airing a report Monday evening, and "60 Minutes" merely got credit in the newspaper, which ran an unusual box noting that the article "was reported in cooperation with the CBS News program '60 Minutes.' '60 Minutes' first obtained information on the missing explosives."

6. NYTimes better outlet for this than CBS
better the Times than CBS; cbs would have been easier to attack.

7. any freeper ID-holder: post this response on their board
Edited on Tue Oct-26-04 03:56 AM by priapis
If you have an ID on Freepers board, post this and watch em burn

its spin-proof regardless of what warping they do with the timeline.
-
1) bottom line-- they were under seal & controlled when Bush ordered the inspectors out.

2) they are now gone.

spin spin spin; that fact doesnt change.

3) bush's actions responsible for putting all this firepower in the hands of terrorists.

either
a) disappeared between time bush ordered inspectors out and then didnt adequately surveil the compound, and time when when we took over, or
b) disappeared after we took over

bush's fault no matter what.

end of story.

9. Don't they even have spell check on that forum?
I belong there, so I should know, but I have been avoiding them since the Republican Convention. I just knew that I could no longer trust myself not to tell them what I really think about this lying, warmongering, incompetent, inept, and dangerous administration.:grr:
