Has ANYONE found "embedded reporter" story on NBC anywhere???
This NBC embedded reporter who was with the SECOND group of US troops to get to Al Qaqqaa (101st AB) who says, altho he & the troops had no explosives training whatsoever & US military says they wouldn't know what the stuff was or wasn't without training, there was no HE when he was there.

The FIRST group of troops on April 4, 2003, 3rd ID, however, say there was indeed explosives there, and their April 5, 2003 report proves it.

But drudge & CNN etc are now trying to say the HE were gone before the invasion coz this one embedded NBC reporter thinks he was the first to Al Qaqaa and HE didn't see any explosives.

Yet NOWHERE on NBC can I find any such story from this NBC embedded reporter.

Anyone find it?

11. look at all the sources:
http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&ned=us&q=missing+explosives%2Bnbc%2Bembedded

wash times

all from drudge saying "nbc said"

from GOPUSA:
>NBC News on Monday aired a report from Jim Miklaszewski who said that on April 10, 2003, only three weeks into the war, "NBC News was embedded with troops from the Army's 101st Airborne as they temporarily take over the Al Qaqaa weapons installation south of Baghdad. But these troops never found the nearly 380 tons of some of the most powerful conventional explosives, called HMX and RDX, which is now missing."

McClellan also emphasized that the weapons, although reported to the IAEA recently, have been missing for some time.

5. AHHHHH! Thanks!
So how come nothing on NBC's site? Hmmmm...

Anyhoo, Jim wasn't with teh FIRST group of troops, and we take his word, a reporter with no training whatsoever in NBC or explosives...or the word of the Pentagon, the FIRST US military group (3rd ID) and Dr. David Kay, weapons expert, and bush's own hand-picked ISG leader who says they WERE still intact and sealed and weren't looted until end of April/May-ish.

Oh hmmm tough one.

NOT.

18. WaPo reports Bush campaign "pushing" reporters to find "embedded reporter"
Pushed, shoved, blackmailed or threatened?

"The Bush campaign pushed reporters to look into an NBC News report that the network had been embedded with troops who searched the site three weeks into the war but never found the powerful explosives that are now missing, suggesting they were already gone."

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A60413-2004Oct25.html

So they want reporters to fabricate a story that backs up their attempted cover-up. But I'm betting they know their "embedded reporter" does not exist and they have no facts backing any such story.

I know these lying bastards too well. This is their way of getting the spin started. Drudge and CNN have complied. Who's next.

We can't let them get away with this.

45. Reporter does exist only isn't taking GOP talking points
This is what is being covered up

MSN NBC is sticking to the truth and the reporter isn't taking the GOP talking points on it.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6323933 /

Reporter Lai Ling Jew, who was embedded with the Army’s 101st Airborne, Second Brigade, said Tuesday on MSNBC TV that the news team stayed at the Al-Qaqaa base for about 24 hours.

‘No move to secure the weapons’
“There wasn’t a search,” she said. “The mission that the brigade had was to get to Baghdad. That was more of a pit stop there for us. And, you know, the searching, I mean certainly some of the soldiers headed off on their own, looked through the bunkers just to look at the vast amount of ordnance lying around.

“But as far as we could tell, there was no move to secure the weapons, nothing to keep looters away.”

NBC News’ “Operation Iraqi Freedom” documents the Iraq war

Suddenly, the war was under way. NBC News correspondent David Bloom and his team were moving north with the 3rd Infantry Division. Correspondents Chip Reid and Kerry Sanders moved out with the Marines. Dana Lewis was reporting in from the 101st Airborne and Brian Williams kept us apprised of missile attacks launched at Kuwait. Fred Francis was covering the Kurds in northern Iraq, and George Lewis was tracking the on-again, off-again role of the Turks right next door. In Washington, Jim Miklaszewski, Andrea Mitchell, Pete Williams, David Gregory, and Campbell Brown were on the air from the Departments of Defense, State, and Justice, along with the White House. Other correspondents and production teams were assigned to military bases around the nation to cover the war on the home front.

He died in Iraq. The 3rd ID were the FIRST group to reach Al Qaqaa and their report says they DID find the explosives.

Dana the idiot was with the 101st AB; they were the SECOND group that got to Al Qaqaa and he says he didn't see any explosives...but then he wouldn't know if he did or not anyways, and neither would the 101st AB.

And this Jim person that Drudge & CNN refer to as having been with the 101st AB was NOT EVEN IN IRAQ; he was in Washington.

Good grief.

this fact just supports that at least those explosives were still there when the 3rd ID first went there on april 4.

"Col. John Peabody, engineer brigade commander of the 3rd Infantry Division, said troops found thousands of 2-by-5-inch boxes, each containing three vials of white powder."
