Do we have John Kerry's back ?....THEN, LET'S SHOW HIM !!!!!!!!!!!!
JOHN KERRY..WE LOVE YOU !!!!

Bush has tried everything in the world to stop you.

1...... The flip-flop
2...... The wounds were never incurred. Neither were the Viet Namese there, or shooting at you.
3...... Medals tossed - you're anti American
4...... Swift Boat veterans. Proof you falsified military record.
5...... Committed treason with Jane Fonda
6...... Testified before Congress only for political gain.
7...... Voted for it–before you voted against it.
8...... Sensitive war on terror.
9...... Voted to raise taxes 98 times.
10..... Collaborated with Dan Rather on forged memo
11..... You're not a man of God
12..... You will take people's guns away.
13..... Voted for the war. Saw the same intelligence.
14..... Another attack by Al Quida would be guaranteed
15..... Most liberal senator ever
16..... Will raise your taxes.
17..... Mary Cheney embarrassed
18..... Laura Bush slandered
14..... Kerry/Edwards will result in nukes in your living room

They tried it all. Personal and unthinkable character assassinations. Shameful dishonoring of your heroism and uncommon acts of bravery in war. You were to have been marginalized and disregarded as a legitimate commander-in-chief. They thought nothing could prevent them from hijacking the election a second time.

But like the courageous yacht American Spirit, trevailing the wind ravaged seas of the Australian cup, though knocked about, beaten on, assailed by the storms of untruth, you unrelenting refused to give up , kept the mighty ship upright, on course and unwaivering in determination to victory. And just as the mighty yacht sailed into that harbor in triumph, November second, you are going to bring America to victory, with the American flag waving high and proud for all of us you love. And through your leadership, America will once again rekindle the thousand points of light and shine brightly in dazzling splendor as true Beacon for the World.

Senator Kerry, you are a symbol of what made America great. It will only be superseded by how great you will make America as President. You have my sincerest and most profound gratitude for all you have endured. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

________________________________________________________________________________________________________
If you would like to add your short note of appreciation or expression of love here for what he's doing for us, I'm going to send this to him. And let him know how proud we are of him as he goes into this final week of battle.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________

We're with you these final days. And we DO HAVE YOUR BACK MY FRIEND!!.....LET'S SHOW HIM !!!!

Dear Senator Kerry

America needs you. The world needs you. You have no idea how many people outside the US are hoping and wishing you move into the White House in January 2005.

Just a note of appreciation for giving us our hope back. For the last four years I have wondered "What has happened to my country?" You embody the America I know and love, and it is my sincere honor to support you for President of the United States. As an educator, my priorities lie in the future for the children of America. I believe you are their best hope. On November 2nd, we will take back America for those who have lost their voice through the politics of hate and division, which have ruled this land for the past four years. I am giddy with optimism! America can return to her place of respect in the world, and you are the leader to take us there

3. Senator Kerry, I think
Christopher Reeve would have said that YOU are the "Man of Steel," what with everything the Republicans have thrown at you. You took the hits, kept coming back, and now you're going to win. What was it that Reeve said about dreams?

And we, too, know exactly what he means. It's been a long road for us. Thank you for being there with us.

4. You returned as a young man, from war, to a country gone desperately wrong
and a country deeply troubled and divided -- and you led. I think it may have been your destiny all along to lead again, now, in another critical time for our country. You've served America in war and in peace, you fought through the primaries when all had written you off, you emerged the victor, you made us proud at our Convention, you won three debates that could not be spun even by a press dead set against you, you are closing, famously. Thank you, and Godspeed, Senator Kerry, 44th legitimate President of the United States, but to be designated in history as our 45th --

5. Senator Kerry

I really have come to look up to you during this campaign. At first I wasn't voting for you as much as I was voting against Bush. But lately after getting to know more about you and how you proudly served your country and afterwards had the courage to speak up against the wrongs you saw, then go on and continue to serve. I can see now that you are our next President.

Both you and Senator Edwards can count on my support 110%

We must all never stop working for progress. Some of us can do a little, and some such as you can do a great deal. 15. Mission: GET RID OF BUSH
I hate to be single issue orientated, and it goes against my nature, but that's how it is for me.

So what's wrong with covering somebodies back anyway? Many here at DU are good patriotic soldiers in one way or another anyway. Really you might want to be sending the warning the other way (I will at least try to be civil as best I can in these last few days before the 2nd, but I can't take claim for anybody else)

I just wanted Kerry to see that DU supports him and that we have his back. NOTHING wrong with that - nothing at all - I wasn't saying there was, just wanted folks to know that someone from johnkerry.com might look at this thread.

He needs to know that we here at DU are not going to let the bu$h cabal get away with lies, distortions, and flinging (more) crap at Senator Kerry (soon to be President Kerry) without fighting back.

28. Actually if you think about it defensive is a word for Yin / Yang
Many have been on this board for years, sort of like a prison in some aspects. We know and seen a lot of the wrong but just wonder what the HELL anybody is doing about it. It's hard not to be a cynic if you been around here long enough. In 2000 we watched the charade go down and had little information on what had really happened, this time is different.

We are mighty pissed and will not take it anymore. Nobody is making any threats, we are just stating how it is.

If you really want to keep your eye on the ball, watch Ohio, if hell breaks out anywhere, it will probably break out there first.

Being prepared is more than for just for boy scouts

13. From the heart of Texas, believe me, there are many people here
who know you will be an excellent president. Four years ago, my sons (10 and 12) felt very alone in their school for supporting Al Gore. This election, though, they find themselves in a very strong majority backing John Kerry for president. :toast: These are the same kids in their classes! Their eyes (and hopefully, those of their parents) have been opened by the last four years. I know my boys will never be the same. They are already becoming very active and vocal about the issues the world faces today and they are literally counting down the days until election day. This election may be rough, but it has also been very inspiring for the children. Thank you!!

20. A sign at a local Democratic headquarters
stands near the sidewalk. "DEMOCRACY" it proclaims in bold black letters, with an equally bold arrow directing one to the front door.

"Democracy is this way," is what that means. Inside those doors where EVERY religion is welcome, EVERY race is welcome. We are in this together. Democrats bringing Democracy back to the people.

We have your back. Always.

We're grateful to you for choosing to endure all the hate and venom when you have every selfish reason in the world not to. Your determination under real and political fire has been inspiring. We see every day that you will be a great president if the American people give you that chance, and we are determined you will have that chance.

I'm still staggered by how much they've thrown at you, and how you've continued to rise above it and bring this campaign to a higher level. We know you'll keep this country as safe as it can be, and begin to bring back the prosperity we had not so long ago. Thanks for your tenacity and determination. Thank You for all you are doing, and have done, for this country. I know that you will fight a more effective war on terror because I know that you will use common sense and put the well being of the American people first. I respect your service in Vietnam and I respect your courage to come home and tell the truth about that situation. I believe you can relate to these soldiers much more than those of us who have never been in the life threatening environment of war. I also feel confident that you will get our country on the right track again toward prosperity and progress. I know that you care deeply for this country and I as a citizen am grateful for your contributions as a soldier, a Senator, and in one more week a President. Thank you so much!

29. Dear Senator Kerry,
I cannot begin to thank you enough for the sacrifice you are making on behalf of the nation you love. You have suffered through lies and slander and all manner of vicious and repugnant personal attacks from the right-wing hate machine; and yet, knowing that this was what you were up against, you did not shy away from the fight, but instead have endured their blows because you know that someone needs to stand up to this power-crazed regime and wrest this proud country from their vile grasp.

As a young man, you fought bravely for your country in a foreign land, and then upon returning home, stood up to the powerful and corrupt cabal in Washington to protest the disastrous mismanagement of the war you fought. You earned many enemies then, but it did not matter to you because you knew you were doing the right thing. All your life you have fought against corruption and deception, not because it was the politically popular thing to do, but because it was the right thing to do. And today you are standing up against another dishonest and corrupt cabal that controls our government, and you are again earning many enemies and taking the flak, but yet you continue to fight and stand up for us because it is the right thing to do.

After three years of the Bush regime's myriad assaults on the Constitution and our standing in the international community, I had begun to feel an overwhelming despair; despair that the country I once knew was vanishing before my eyes, replaced by a totalitarian police state that bore no resemblance to the America I loved. But then you arrived on the scene, an honest-to-God American hero who embodies everything I cherish and respect about this country. Senator Kerry, you give me hope for America again. You give me faith that this nation will return to its proud roots and that we will once again be a beacon of light for all the world to see and admire; that our benevolence and leadership will again be respected in the world.

You are this nation's last best hope, Mr. Kerry, and I know that you will not let us down. You carry in your heart the courage and strength to see this battle through to its end, and we will be right behind you every step of the way. We will not falter, we will not rest, we will not stop until we have won this country back. In the words of Langston Hughes, it's time to "let America be America again." I know you will do this for us. No retreat, no surrender, until this war is won.

God bless and Godspeed,

Rachael

I honestly believe that you will not only be a good president, you will be magnificent. All we have to do is get out the vote in sufficient numbers that the outcome will not be in doubt. Even after the election I will be working to make sure you get the "honeymoon" you deserve. I want you to have the time to show people what you can do and make them believers.

Thank you, sir, for all you've already done for you country. I can't wait to see what you will do next.

I couldn't believe what was happening to our great country under the current administration. It was surreal watching it happen and feeling totally at a loss as to what could be done to stop it. You've gotten your hands dirty more than once to uproot criminals like this. As you said, much to the chagrin of the blind public, "Let me tell you, we've just begun to fight. We're going to keep pounding. These guys are the most crooked, you know, lying group I've ever seen."

I trust you to get the truth out, vaporize the residue of lies and failure that these creatures left behind, and restore the Presidency and the United States to the gleaming bastion of democracy that it once was! This is the same battle you've fought over and over again; you're just on a bigger stage now.

I cast my vote for you in the Missouri primary many months ago. Even then, I felt you were the best choice among the Democratic candidates to lead the fight to retake the White House.

Since then, you have proved to me that I made the right choice in the primary, and I will be proud to cast my vote for you in Missouri again.

I don't know if we can deliver Missouri for you, but I'm confident that with or without my state, come November 3rd, you will be President-elect Kerry.

40. Dear President John Kerry,
I want to thank you for your courage and strength you have showed in this election. I voted for you in the primaries because I believed you could go all the way and you have!

They tried everything they could to stop you but you didn't let it get to you. You kept smiling and shaking hands even when the polls were down and when the lies were fierce.

I have two daughters in their twenties and I am proud of them. Everytime I see you with yours I can tell you feel the same way. It is obvious to all who honestly look how true your values are.

Good luck on the next four years. Know we are all here to support you and make it possible for your plans to become reality!

I voted for you yesterday in Florida and I voted with pride. I grew up outside Boston and have followed your career since the 70's. I feel connected to you because of my roots, and I have unrelenting respect for everything you have stood for.

I want you to know that I have never worked this hard for anyone in my life and that there are millions more just lke me who have done the same.

There is a macrobiotic principle that states: The bigger the front, the bigger the back. We are your back, Mr. Kerry. Don't let anyone mess with our truth.

45. Dear Senator Kerry,
I am a young woman, 19 years old. For as long as I can remember, I have been taught about how great this country is. I have been told all my life how grateful I should be for my freedom. I have been taught all my life to be proud of my country's government.

Within the last couple of years, Reality came crashing down, and I was forced to acknowledge that... maybe that's not how it really is. George Bush has broken my heart, our nation has broken my spirit.

Senator Kerry, you are my only hope- and the only chance I have at regaining the pride I have had for America since I was a little girl.

Senator Kerry, you are this nation's only hope at regaining credibility with the rest of the world, and becoming the great country we used to be.

Thank you for showing me, and countless other new, young voters, that we still have something to be proud of.

46. President-Elect Kerry, I got your back. I'm working the polls for you
to make sure everyone who is eligable to vote, does. I'm phone-banking, delivering fliers, and engaging every right-winger I can. Honking at cars with Kerry stickers on them, and getting in front of cars with B/C stickers on them so they can see my anti-bush stickers (and then slowing wayyyyy down. All I ask is that I can play piano for you in the white house.

They've tried it all. They've called you the most consistently liberal senator and they've called you a flip-flopper. They've said you're weak and they've said you've never incurred a wound. I just want you to know that here at DU we speak for a MAJORITY when we say that we want to see a change in Washington. I believe you are the right man to make that change.

On a whimsical note:
President John F. Kennedy has been an inspiration through my short life and I wish I were old enough to vote, because I want to see the day when I can once again refer to a president I admire as JFK!

61. Dear Senator Kerry
Dear Senator Kerry,

The bright beacon of American democracy has become quite dim over the last four years. Many of us are genuinely worried that our nation is becoming a fascist state, ruled by people who have no regard for the institutions, history, and sense of fairness that all good Americans have contributed toward for over 225 years. We are in grave danger of losing everything our parents and their parents have worked so hard to achieve. Most of all, we as a people are losing our ability to discern truth and justice, so often are they clouded or cloaked by outrageous and scandalous behavior that seeks power over all, for the benefit of only the few.

You could very well be our last hope, and that is why you must win. Your honor and decency will set a shining new example for millions to emulate. Your intelligence and determination to always do the right thing will strike fear into the hearts and minds of those who chose to destroy our nation for the good of only themselves. Your opponent sees the world in simple terms of good versus evil, and on this point alone is he even remotely capable of understanding reality, for he is evil, and you are good. He is Hitler compared to our greatest generation. He is Saddam compared to innocent Iraqis who have seen their homes and families destroyed. He cares nothing about the plight of the poor in our own land, while you carry the burden of all of us in your heart.

You must win. You must win.

John

65. Dear Senator Kerry.
Seldom does America stand almost broken in it's legacy. Or jeered because of its loss of respect by our world partnership of friends. However it has never stood closer to the crossroads of that reality than it does now.

There were few men who could rise to answer the calling requiring of such a greatness. John Kennedy was one, Bill Clinton was another, and you Senator Kerry are the third.

You have been subject to the most reviling and despicable acts on your character, your bravery and your honor. Individuals who have never known you have testified with allusions and lies of moral disgust, designed to bring you down. But you would not concede your mission to lead us.

There are not words to express the hope and inspiration you bring to me as a citizen of this country. As a veteran, I would be proud to trust my fate with you in a foxhole, a Sampan, or follow you through a swamp full of quicksand.

And just as you did for the crew mates of your Swift Boat in leading them home, I am confident so too will you bring America home. I wish you God speed, and I am honored to have your back.

Once more unto the breach. The final days of this long, grueling campaign are drawing to a close. We know you can bring this home, but there are more important things than just victory. We know you can heal the wounds of the last four years, to be the bigger man and reach back across the aisle in an effort to restore civility and cooperation to the political process. Your strength and perseverance through the last year have given all of us hope again, the hope that a long-felt cloud is lifting, and the sun is on the verge of breaking through. The hope that all the things we love about this country, all the things that make us great, all the grand ideals that have been bruised and tarnished and neglected and crushed are soon to be remembered. A truly great nation is ready to burst from the ashes, rekindled and blazing with promise for the downtrodden and oppressed, shining again as a beacon of justice and honor, lifting up those who have nothing and daring them to dream again, consuming us all in its glory and power. We feel it. We're with you. We've got your back. We will prevail.

71. To The Next President Of The United States
Thank you for having the courage and strength to suffer though the hell of Vietnam and come back to stand up for your brothers when you returned.

Thank you for efforts as a prosecutor fighting to bring criminals to justice, and improving the process in your former D.A.'s office, to make sure that those who prey on the weak and innocent could be quickly made to pay for those crimes.

Thank you for coming to the aid of the falsely accused, and seeing that their rights were also protected.

Thank you for your service as Lt. Governor of Massachusetts, and your vocal opposition at the time to bloated, overindulgent defense spending during the Reagan years, while the people of this country were suffering under severe social services cuts.
How familiar this seems today...

Thank you for your 20 years of great service in the senate, and for your efforts to expose the same forces who were arrayed against you in the BCCI and Iran/Contra days, that have somehow found their way back into control of this country.

Thank you for standing resolute in the face of horrendous lies and false claims that are being tossed at you daily by the right wing machine in this country, and are being repeated, unquestioned, by a cowed media establishment.

Thank you for returning for duty once again, sir.

Thank you for carrying the banner for the Democratic Party this election. I don't know if there is anyone who could give it more honor and pride at this time than yourself.

Thank you. Just, thank you.

I want them to be have the character to fight for those who can't, to lend voice to those who've been silenced, to bring hope where there is despair, and have the courage to say what others are afraid to. I want them to be global citizens, who step forward for the good of all. To be caretakers of their environment and stewards of freedom.

I stand behind you whole-heartedly, and know that you and Teresa, and John and Elizabeth Edwards are the leaders I want my children to see as role models. And I know that you will make their world safer, filled with promise instead of fear.

THANK YOU.

You have restored my faith and vigor in this election much more than George W. Bush's mishandling of foreign and domestic policy ever could have done. At one point I was voting against him purely, but as I've listened to your words and witnessed your presidential comportment over the length of this grueling election season, you have won a voter who is voting because he believes in the candidate.

Good luck Senator, I look forward to November 2 when reason and sanity and accountability are restored to the Oval Office.

101. Dear Senator/President Kerry --
Sometimes I cry over the condition of the world. I think -- what if terrorists showed up at my son's daycare and held him hostage? Most people think that terror is simply something that happens "because they hate our freedoms." I happen to know better, and know that my son will be safer with a President who understands the history of U.S. foreign policy, and is not afraid to admit that we need to be much more humble in the world and in our lives -- though we should be strong, and protect ourselves, we should be graceful and benevolent and respectful to global human rights, and morals that go beyond the moral relativism of the right-wing nationalists that currently run this country. This will make us safer. I hope that when you are elected, you will continue to help the U.S. to not be run by corporations and not approve of us glad-tramping all over the globe like we own the whole Earth.

John Edwards, you're a honey, and I look forward to seeing you on television for the next 16 years.

My family and I have come to deeply respect and admire you. I think you are not only the best choice for President, but that you will make a truly GREAT president. And God knows we need someone like you now.

Thank you for running, thank you for serving your country with honor. I am a veteran's wife, a Texan, a mom, and I voted early for you, as did my husband.

Thank you, sir.

108. What more can I say...? We're proud to have you on our ticket
(even though we remain puzzled that some people are still deluded enough to vote for your opponent)! Hope to see you take office as our next President and start cleaning house. You'll have your work cut out for you, but I'm sure you're equal to the task!

Thanks.

I'd like to be able to say that your running has made up for the last 4 years, but it hasn't. On the other hand, it's a damned good start. And the good news is, there may be LOTS of appointments on the Supreme Court to fill. Let's get a Thurgood Marshall or 3 in there to balance out the nutcases with which Republicans have been stacking the court for years

You've run a terrific campaign, not perfect, but you should win, and win handily.

I do support you. Watch out for those sons-of-bitches Swift Liars, though. You know who they are, of course, and by now Carvill et al. know what to do about 'em.

Anyhow, keep up the good work. You have much better music at your rallies than the "My Pet Goat" coward, by the way.

110. Senator and Soon-to-be-President Kerry
I'm with you now, I'll be with you Tuesday and I'll be with you when you're president, because I know it's going to be a rough four years.

You've got the three things our country needs now: intellect, heart, and fighting spirit. Never has the job been more saddled with difficulties, but I know without a doubt you are up to it.

We need you, and I'm with you!

111. We all need the message of hope.
Thank you Senator Kerry for the work and the heart and soul you have so unselfishly put into this fight. I spoke to a friend today who honestly believes her attitude about the everyday things in her life will become so much better when you are the President. I agree with her completely. Regardless of our responsibilities the oppressive dark cloud we have felt hanging over us for the last nearly four years will be lifted when you are President. It's not just about policies etc. It's a feeling. We want honesty, reality and our country back. We know you will make that happen We do have your back.
