I think this is the 'October Surprise'
It doesn't pass the smell test, but it is on WND today and the Freepers are freaking over it.

1. Right, those documents that don't mention Kerry's name
even once. How devastating.

14. I looked over all of them
and I found absolutely nothing other than a general description of the US anti war movement.
No mention of Kerry

16. Exactly. So what the hell is he talking about?
Is he just trying to trash Vietnam protestors?

Or trying to dig up something sinister sounding and then send it off in the "Hanoi Kerry" wrapping?

12. Right, this is his attempt to start a fad with a simple catch phrase,
Edited on Tue Oct-26-04 06:33 AM by BullGooseLoony
"Hanoi Kerry."

It doesn't have to have anything behind it, and he's not even trying. The story is just a vehicle in which to carry the catch phrase.

Not a single mention of Kerry's name, and it's by the biggest liar on this planet, worse than bush, even; Corsi.

Corsi, Ted Sampley, John O'Neill; LIARS. Don't even waste your time.

7. Jerome Corsi? Of please. Read this snippet, he's such a sack of
lying shit:

<snip>
Why now?

Corsi told WND the documents have been authenticated with "100 percent certainty."

But why were they unearthed now, just one week before the Nov. 2 election?

Corsi insisted the timing was unintentional.

"It's truly one of those accidents of how things develop in research," he said. "We did not spring any surprise, we just found these documents, and even the archivist didn't know they were there."

<snip>

Right, now there's a guy I'd go to for the truth.

17. Corsi and Sampley and "Winter Soldier"
Edited on Tue Oct-26-04 06:39 AM by LynnTheDem
They've both been trying for YEARS to have Kerry declared a "traitor" for his anti-war activities 30 years ago.

The freeps will pee themselves in excitement, but they're very partisan stupid little things with no ability for rational thought, common sense or thinking for themselves.

By the way, Corsi is a poster at FreeRepublic; the freeper site.

18. Kerry would 've never done any of those things - it's out of character.
Even though he was involved in the anti-war movement, in many ways Kerry was and still is a traditionalist, a patrician raised to do things the traditional way (just look at the way he speaks and the phrases he uses - he's a throwback). He opposed the war, but I feel fairly certain he never did anything "radical" that could be used against him now.

22. I think it would have been unearthed by now
if he had. There is no way something that controversial would be hidden until now.
And for a nutjob like Jerome Corsi to have 'found it all out' 1 week before the election, if at all, strains credulity

21. Who is Jerome Corsi, co-author of Swift Boat Vets attack book?
On August 6, Salon.com's Joe Conason documented links between Swift Boat Veterans for Truth and the conservative online forum www.FreeRepublic.com. Conason noted that the designer of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth website is Robert A. Hahn, a director of the Free Republic Network, a conservative activist organization affiliated with FreeRepublic.com.

Scott Swett, who is listed as the webmaster of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth website, swiftvets.com, also appeared on FOX News Channel host Sean Hannity's August 5 radio show to discuss the group. Swett posts frequently to FreeRepublic.com, using the pseudonym "Interesting Times," and is also a director of the Free Republic Network. The wintersoldier.com website to which Swett has contributed articles is a project of the Free Republic Network.

Corsi is also a frequent participant in FreeRepublic.com's online forums, posting under the pseudonym "jrlc" since 2001.

24. key words
are "Corsi" and "freshly unearthed documents" (hot off the Kinkos presses, I'm sure) so it's crap.
Even if it's not crap, then the public will only hear that Kerry was involved in peace talks with North Vietnam. He sounds more like a diplomat than a traitor.
