Everyone was happy to see Bill Clinton but, they were THERE for JOHN.
Everyone I talked to kept saying the same thing KERRY IS THE MAN. We are pumped for Kerry.
My husband and I got to Philly at 7 a.m. and set out to sign up commuters and area workers to gotv on Nov. 2. 90% of Everyone I spoke to said they were already involved, can't but adamantly suppporting Kerry, wanted the free tickets I was handing out for the rally because they wanted to hear KERRY.
It was a very KERRY day. I'm exhausted!!! :) :hi: :bounce:

Just heard from my BIL in Orlando and he said it took him two hours to vote yesterday. People were lined up around the block, and a lot of people were talking together and were fired up to vote for Kerry. He had been convinced that Jeb was going to steal Florida, but after yesterday, he thinks maybe there will be too many Kerry voters for Jebbie to pull it off!

10. What utter nonsense .... |
|
I watched the rally last night, and John Kerry was THE STAR ...
Amazingly: Clinton played warm up in this piece ....
Fineman is on a mission: to degrade Democrats with lies ....
Somehow, someway, the sycophants in media should PAY for their malfeasance .....
What a bald faced lie .....

17. Fineman and his ilk can try to get a real job |
|
after Kerry is elected President.
We're taking back the media.
We're tired of listening to this right-wing propaganda, about how we're supposed to think, about how we're not likely to vote. We'll show them whose likely to vote.
It's not 1984 anymore.

15. Fineman is an idiot. Clinton was very subdued, for Clinton. |
|
He is, afterall, recovering from surgery. Kerry presented himself as the main attraction and was very convincing that he belonged on that podium.

|
A couple of weeks ago, Fineman wrote a column that had me questioning whether or not he had mended his whorish ways.
DU's collective reaction was "hell no," and I think it's because he "gives the client what she/he wants."

22. Heck and I even heard someone in the crowd |
|
chant that they loved him. Then Kerry said that he would show them how much he loved them after he won or something like that. I suppose was for Clinton too? I'm not denying that the people LOVE Bill Clinton. HOwever, just because you loved a former president does not mean that you can't love (or respect) a candidate for president. It is not mutually exclusive. Just because Kerry doesn't kiss the reporters' asses they want to say he is stand=off and aloof. Whatever..

However, the crowd was insane for Kerry. Kerry is the single greatest orator in American history. He worked the crowd like a preacher. The man is singlehandedly creating hope in America.

Whoa, "single greatest orator in American history"?!? I agree that Mr. Kerry is a perfectly fine speaker, and certainly he towers over pretzel-boy in that regard, but "greatest orator"??
Try listening to some recordings of Dr. King or the original JFK. Those were orators.
This does not in any way diminish my appreciation for Mr. Kerry, whom I fully endorse (even though I'm just a dead former Prime Minister of Canada). But I think we should keep things in perspective. After all, we would howl with derisive laughter at anyone who says Shrubya is the greatest president in US history, so it behooves us not to go overboard with statements about Kerry being the "greatest orator in American history".
That being said, it looked like an encouraging rally, and Kerry did a good job stepping up to the plate after Clinton.

27. Yeah, Kerry is fine but no original JFK in oratory skill. He's too verbose |
|
Doesn't know how to get right to the point and stop, wants to keep adding words onto the ends of sentences, add extra words and sentences when less is more, and generally obsfucate his point with words. I hate that, but I still love Kerry because I see it for what it is: A simple personality trait, not a political play.

and I don't think Clinton was 'subdued' solely because he's in recovery.
his JOB was to warm up the house for the main event: KERRY. and that's what he did. beautifully.
and, as strong as the response to Clinton was, Kerry's response was stronger.
I saw it live and then again on c-span last night.
Fineman is just LYING.
