Kerry has 19 states and DC, Bush 28 states.

Kerry has WA, OR, CA, ME, MN, NY, VT, NH, MA, RI, CT, NJ, DE, MD, DC, MI, IL, HI, WI, and IA.

4. Kerry may pick up a few EVs in Colorado
DENVER - A federal judge Tuesday left it up to the voters to decide on Election Day whether to change the way Colorado distributes its electoral votes for president.

U.S. District Judge Lewis Babcock dismissed a lawsuit that challenged a proposal on next week's ballot that would alter the Electoral College (news - web sites) system in Colorado. He said that it is state issue and not a federal one, and that he lacked jurisdiction.

The measure would scrap Colorado's winner-take-all system for distributing its nine Electoral College votes. Instead, presidential candidates would be awarded a share of the electoral votes based on their proportion of the popular vote.

The change would begin with this year's presidential contest — potentially complicating the election if the race between President Bush (news - web sites) and John Kerry (news - web sites) is close.

7. Florida Will TRY TO VOTE for Kerry -- they TRIED TO VOTE for Gore in 2000
We need enough EVs elsewhere to offset the very likely theft of Florida's votes.

9. Nice thing about that map...
Even if you switch Florida, Kerry still wins if he picks up (WI or MO) and (IA or AR).

Edited on Tue Oct-26-04 07:23 PM by newsguyatl
with that said, though, i believe nevada and new mexico (and possibly colorado) are winnable by kerry out of bush's column.

i believe kerry'll also carry PA without a problem.

OH and FL are still up in the air.

13. NM and Ark going to Kerry
I heard Clinton is going to be there later this week. That should about wrap it up there hopefully.

Also Nv must still be in play, since Kerry was there today. He wouldnt be going if they felt it was out of reach now.

And I am certain Pa and Ohio are Kerry's. :)
