We could be drilling water wells across Africa, training doctors to fight malaria and other diseases in the developing world, and developing trade agreements on the basis of equality rather than empire. Who would be attacking us then?

utopian? i know. but still, the fact remains, it is within our grasp and only 3 election cycles away.

1. Look, I love dreaming but we need to face some realities.

There are people in the world, and always will be, that hate civilized countries who have equality, free religion, civil rights, free trade and industry, a free market, and wealth and power, because those things go against the most basic principles of some people and religions.

Ok, fine, just one religion really, but it's the second biggest one in the entire world, so it's important.

Electing Kerry will be a good start but we must demand the kind of world that our children deserve to inherit. What a world we could have by dismantling the military industrial complex, exercising population control, and investing in renewable and clean sources of energy.
