Nedra Pickler Cracks Under Pressure
Her Bush crush, ill concealed, has driven her to the brink. Heartbreak is stressful for anyone and as impending misfortune looms for her beloved, she can no longer pulling punches. Her siren song is loosed, its strains a clarin to lovers everywhere:

"...But there's a formality in the way that Kerry speaks, even when he's saying something as casual as this. He says the phrase slowly and carefully pronounces each word, so it doesn't sound like it would if it came from a friend or a teammate who made the promise in a huddle."....o, but there's more....

Oh, dear GAWD what were we all thinking?! It's entirely possible that America could end up with a president who values...I can hardly bear to type the word....DICTION.

KERRY ENUNCIATES!!!!!

1. Kerry values diction? What WILL we tell the children?
I suppose he also espouses such radical notions as (dare I say it in public) good grammar, fluent syntax, and -- I'm about to cry over the gravity of the situation -- accurate spelling?

Tansy Gold, not an English teacher but she plays one on DU ;-)

2. And homework!
Tansy Gold, there's homework!

But Kerry's rallies often sound a lot like speeches. He reads off statistics, quotes from inside-the-Beltway reports and even assigns homework to the crowd.

3. Clearly America's president cannot enunciate his words.
Dear Leader does not enunciate, he talks like he has a mouth full of pig shit. That is how America's president should talk.

4. Does Anyone have a picture of this Whore?

Is Pickler as butt-ugly as Crowley, Nagourney, Mitchell and Woodruff?

5. Geez, Kerry is So Boring
He just doesn't know how to energize the base. The Democrats are bored and dispirited.
:silly:

6. Unlike Thomas Jefferson, Who Spoke Like A Moron
I would much rather have had a drink with John Adams (although I admit Jefferson is the man to go to if you want to smoke some chronic before heading to the slave quarters).

7. What BS
I just fired off an email to AP asking why they allow her to write for them:

Dear Associated Press:

I am aware of your organization's prestigious history of being a respectable source of news and information. I have to ask you, why ould you allow reporters like Nedra Pickler to harm your fine reputation? I was flabbergasted when I read a story on the web by Miss Pickler titled "Kerry to Give Last Formal Speech" (10/26/04)

Here's a quote from the article:

"But there's a formality in the way that Kerry speaks, even when he's saying something as casual as this. He says the phrase slowly and carefully pronounces each word, so it doesn't sound like it would if it came from a friend or a teammate who made the promise in a huddle. "

How can you allow such a strange passage make its way into a news story? This type of editorial comment goes well beyond reporting.

Respectfully,

Rob XXXXX
Seattle, WA

17. Here's the e-mail link
1. How do I send a correction or letter to the editor?
Send an email to info@ap.org and it will be forwarded to the reporter or editor.

http://by11fd.bay11.hotmail.msn.com/cgi-bin/compose?mailto=1&to=info@%20ap.org&curmbox=F000000001&a=62cf1038b88b5c0ec602efe771fbdc9f

and interestingly enough, they have a "code of ethics". Granted it is # ELEVEN, on the list-

11. Does AP have a code of ethics?
The AP believes firmly in a fair and objective news report. The AP subscribes to the code of ethics written by the Associated Press Managing Editors Association.

8. WTF? That paragraph just looks like it was plopped down there.
It's Nedra Pickler's OWN opinion. But, her article is in the news section not the opinion section.

11. The entire piece is opinion
snip>
President Bush...likes to tell jokes and deliver punchy one-liners that bring home his points.

Kerry tends to wade deeper and describe his positions in more complex terms. He's more proper and formal, more academic....

"Bush only tells jokes because he doesn't have anything else to say," said Kerry supporter Allison James, after sitting through a Kerry rally in Reno, Nev., Saturday night.
---------------------

Why "after sitting through" rather than just "after"? One keynotes tedium.

9. I fail....
... to get worked up over this sort of shit. Does anyone here think that Kerry will lose a single vote as a result of someone reading that comment?

So Kerry is not some bubba-boy. What a news flash. And here's a flash for you Ms Pickler - we don't want a good buddy bubba running the country, we've been there and done that and it didn't work out too well. We want a man of substance.

10. The AP is now run by Fox?
That is the most incredibly slanted and biased piece of crap writing I've seen today. How has the ability to use the English language become a negative? What a load.

16. Same way that
...going to the Nam, rescuing a Green Beret, and getting an assfull of shrapnel is somehow less heroic than snorting coke in Texas.

People are wise to it. Fool us once, won't get fooled again...to quote the weecowboy!!!

18. Still No Nedra Pix???

Is Pickler really that ugly that no photos are available?

Even Nagurney gets his twisted, deformed body and popper-burned face on TV occasionally.

Nedra Pickler must be one big train wreck!
