Is It Just Me, Or is GIULIANI an AWFUL Person For Chimpy To Use?
I mean, he dissapeared off the scene after 9/11 for too long, he has the charisma of creamed spinach (and that's being generous) and a lisp to boot and is an AWFUL public speaker. Do they really think he's going to play well in IOWA etc. where they're using him? His national fame hit it's peak after 9/11 and then went nowhere. He's pro abortion, divorced etc...Rove's a moron...

Yeah, he is not extreme in social ways
Plus, being from NY doesn't help you outside of NY :)

1. It shows how desparate they are.
They should get Rudy in drag again. Get him to talk about Mary Cheney too!

2. The only reason he's up there
Listen to one if his speeches. This is what it sounds like:

9/11! Terrorists! 9/11! Terrorists! 9/11! Terrorists! 9/11! Terrorists! 9/11! Terrorists! 9/11! Terrorists! 9/11! Terrorists! 9/11! Terrorists! 9/11! Terrorists! 9/11! Terrorists! 9/11! Terrorists! 9/11! Terrorists! 9/11! Terrorists! 9/11! Terrorists! 9/11! Terrorists! 9/11! Terrorists! 9/11! Terrorists! 9/11! Terrorists!

Just * cynically manipulating 9/11 for his own political purposes.

3. Guiliani is stupid for doing it...
He had become a very popular figure after 9/11. Now he's just another divisive partisan hack.

4. Repubs really love the guy, for some reason
He was the great leader on the scene who didn't turn and run to an undisclosed location.

8. I guess that it's because there was no stained blue dress involved
jut him admitting to having an affair and being thrown out of the Gov mansion, getting a divorce, etc.

Oh, and don't forget the broomstick up a handcuffed alleged criminal's ass, and the 27 bullets in an unarmed "suspect".

18. No Stained Blue Dress..Just Rudia's stained, dirty bra and panties!

Why wouldn't the GOP embrace a butt-ugly cross dresser to their collective bosom?

5. Rudy needs to be exposed
The Evangelical crowd and a large portion of Bush's base wouldn't be as fond of him if they knew his stance on social issues.

6. He's popular among Repubs. He rejected that check from Saudi prince.
And he was "strong" and stalwart after the 9/11 incident. It apparently turned his popularity around. He had been VERY unpopular in New York, until that day.

9. Two ex-wives
..the first one was his cousin, he annulled that, the second one he cheated on after she grunted out two kids to satisfy his reproductive urge (that's why he dumped #1--she was "barren"--the asshole!). Real family values kinda guy. Plus, he had his police shoot black people who take out their wallet.

I find him cretinous. He did a good job during 9/11, but he damn well should have--it was his city. I'm sure all the cameras following him around motivated his performance--he does love himself, and I am sure that he took perverse energy from doing the job that the chickenshit cokehead should have been doing.

Who are they going to get? They have most of the freakin' cabinet, and every other weirdo they can dig up, stumping for Stupido. I feel fortunate that they didn't dig up Reagan's corpse and prop it up on stage with a tape playing behind it.

At this point, I don't think there is much that can help these sickening bastards.

11. He is an outright racist
In word and deed and policy. One of the most prominent figures to claim that charming attribute since civil rights.

That's why the Republicans like him.

Bernard Kerik, Kerik-Kerik, LLC

First, I would like to thank the task force for the invitation and the opportunity to make these brief remarks. The purpose of me being here today is to advise the task force that the former Mayor of the City of New York, Rudolph Giuliani and Partners has been retained to conduct an independent review of the safety issues related to the wholesale importation of medicines from outside the U.S.

As many of you know, I am the former Police Commissioner for the City of New York and as of recently was a senior advisor for the Minister of Interior for Iraq and a senior advisory to Ambassador Bremmer on the reconstitution of Iraq’s interior ministry . Today, I’m the CEO of Kerik-Kerik, and we’ll be working with the Mayor on this review.

The review includes documentation, site reviews, and we are making every effort to speak to people and groups on both sides of the issue, including those who support it as well as those who oppose the importation. Although the review will be on-going over the next few months, we anticipate having some preliminary findings this month, and we would be anxious to share them with the task force, as well as others. We are quite concerned about the growing support for wholesale importation of drugs or the purchase of medicines over the Internet when there are clearly so many unanswered questions regarding the safety of such practices. There are many risks to the health and safety of Americans with respect to the importation of drugs from outside this country.

13. He's a miserable prick, but...
Shrub is running on 9/11 and King Rudy personifies it.

Giuliani himself really didn't do shit on or after 9/11, but did, as usual, take credit for everything that emergency services did. He never allowed the police or fire commisioners to make public statements, and had them standing behind him every time he hit the cameras-- which was every five minutes or so.

So, what the nation has are the indelible images of Rudy standing tall while everyone else, the Governor, the President..., was hanging out with their thumbs up their asses trying to figure out what happened and what to do.

Image is everything.

14. I loooove the pics of * and Laura with Rudy and his
mistress (Did he marry her?) He tried to kick his wife and kids out of the house so he could install his mistress. Family values??? Now he parades her around?

So Clinton had an affair, but worked on his marriage and maintained it. The Repub 'heroes' screw around, dump their wives and children, and they have 'family values'. The media and this country are insane.

and whatever "moderates" he picks off he may lose from the base. His base accounts for about 30% of his hardcore support.
