Who have YOU told about 866-OUR-VOTE? (election protection hotline)
Edited on Tue Oct-26-04 10:59 AM by LoZoccolo
Yesterday I put out an assignment for you all.

I heard about this number a few days ago, and it's supposed to help you if you are being prevented from voting in any way, including if they move your polling place. It's a great idea to have a clearinghouse like this, but it will only really work if people know about it. So go tell your mailing list (you do have one by now, don't you) and your friends, and tell them to pass it on to ten people as well. Also, you might think of some ways to get the word out to random people too. If you are in any way angry about voter supression by the Republicans, well, here's one way to fight back.

866-OUR-VOTE

Here's more information on this hotline:

Now who's gone and done it? :)

It only takes a few minutes to email it to some people, and it could save someone's vote.

The Reform Institute, a nonpartisan government reform organization whose Advisory Board is chaired by Senator John McCain, announces its participation with the 866-my-vote-1 voter alert line, a project led by NBC News.

I don't mean to completely diss it, but John McCain is campaigning for Bush*, and approved of those ads that said that some people are attacking Bush* for attacking the terrorists.

You could always call both though.
