Interesting talk with a town clerk (ME) |
|
As some of you know, I’ve down a few things of political life here in Maine at truthout.org (All Praise to Will Pitt). I was in the town office today re-registering my truck. During the course of my transaction several folks came in and voted in the little porta-potty thing that they got set up as a temporary voting booth (Some sort of Federal Law/State recycling thing, I think, not sure exactly.)
Anyways, she mentions to me that if I want to vote early and then get back to the woods (Up here, Nov 2 is not only Election Day, but also 3rd day of huntin’ season and for some folks the latter is more important), I better do it today. Seems she’s expectin’ nearly ALL voters to vote this year (3600+ reg.) and so far over 25% have since the beginning of early voting here.
Now she can’t really say, officially that is, which way she thinks it’s going, but:
She did say see thought I’d be celebrating on Nov 3, tag filled or not.

1. Well I have heard that Bush has largely pulled out |
|
Forget where I read that, so maybe I shouldn't mention it, but he's largely conceded the state to Kerry. I wish I could get news of him pulling out of my stupid state (Florida). Bryant Check it out --> http://politicalcomment.blogspot.com

Mass. is a complete given so I had opportunity to register in Me. and just wasn't thinking.
