Sinclair stock edging down - again |
|
after a number of margin investments, an artificial bounce and poor audience ##s for their anti-Kerry diatribe, Sinclair is still low and slow. http://finance.comcast.net/quote.html?sym=SBGI.NAS&auth=24f2b89b34f07078275f5ec6638c739270eaf2f3a23b7a2761a9ee3703d61bccceb8adcc21325e02"> Comcast stock index let's keep the pressure on those bastards.

1. I heard an interesting story last night... |
|
Basically, it was that Sinclair was heading for the financial rocks ANYWAY and that they are just hiding behind the "the anti-Kerry film release caused our stock to go down" theory.... to keep their investors in the game, kinda like Enron did. Anybody else hear this?

4. I read an analyst report on SBGI dating from before the release of |
|
the announcement of the anti-Kerry film. That report said that SBGI was not a good stock and that had spent way too much $$$ making new acquisitions w/o thinking about the bottom line, which wasn't good business practice.
I also read that SBGI may be in trouble for insiders selling the stock BEFORE the announcement of the anti-Kerry film, which would directly have hurt the shareholders. I believe the shareholders have filed a lawsuit against SBGI.
Even if they were in trouble before, which seems the case, they are in deep doo doo now.

Hey, you in NC, I just heard from a dear friend who lives in Penland. He said that in Ashville and all surrounding freeperland areas, tons of Kerry signs, no Bush signs.
What gives? Is that true in your area?

6. Penland has one of the best craft/artisan schools |
|
in the country, many liberals live in Asheville, Boone and surrounding areas. It's a unique community with lots of artists and craftsmen who sell their work in galleries or small studios.
Triangle includes:
Chapel Hill and Durham are fairly liberal, Raleigh has a mixture of both. My neighborhood is much more conservative but through canvassing, I have found more Kerry supporters than I was expecting.
We have had a problem here with Kerry signs being stolen and slight vandalism but polls suggest, FWIW, the Triangle area has Kerry ahead.
There are rural areas of this state (still don't sell alcohol) that are die hard republicans. The RW fundies have had a major influence in certain areas too, especially Raleigh.
I have not written off NC, the numbers are closer than reported and we've registered a large number of new voters. MoveOn has a GOTV campaign here which I've been involved in so we are trying our hardest to change this state.
