My mother went to get a copy from Hollywood Video today. She got it for free, but the manager had said she'd heard nothing about it from corporate, or anyone else.
The manager said she would like a web article of where Michael Moore says it, so she can let her employees know.
I can't find it on Michael Moore online and the archives are down. I'm Googling as we speak (and having a hell of a time... so might right wing spew to filter through).

5. btw. the page layout from your link is completely different
from the one I got through google. I have a dingy khaki and brown layout. The pae you sent is black, white and red.I got to the article, but there was no list of participants!
Yours, I get it all!

MICHAEL MOORE ANNOUNCES "FAHRENHEIT FOR FREE" OCTOBER 26

VIDEO STORES ACROSS THE NATION TO RENT CUSTOMERS "FAHRENHEIT 9/11" FREE OF CHARGE

Oscar-winning filmmaker Michael Moore is joining forces with video store operators in an effort to get as many Americans as possible to see the film before the election. Video stores across the country will be waiving the usual rental fee for "Fahrenheit 9/11," beginning on October 26. A recent Harris poll showed that 44 percent of Republicans who have seen the film gave it a positive rating.

If you are a video store owner interested in getting involved, please e-mail us at F911ForFree@michaelmoore.com.

7. ok, now I've contacted corporate HQ to see if they're participating
doubt they will. They are motivated first by profit-lust. However, I also asked whether or not individual managers exercise discretion. I'll let all of DU know if they say yes to either.
