14. 308 Kerry, 178 bush, 52 still in play
538 total EVs
- 52 states still 'in play' (see below)
=486
-178 Bush EVs
=308 Kerry EVs (excluding 'in play' states - determined on Nov 2)
- - - - - - - - - - - -
Kerry's EVs so far:

WA 11
OR 7
CA 55
MN 10
IL 21
MI 17
OH 20
PA 21
NY 31
VT 3
ME 4
FL 27
RI 4
MA 12
CT 7
NJ 15
DE 3
MD 10
DC 3

281 EVs (but wait!)
- - - - - - - - - - - - -
*Additionally, I bow to Big Dog's wisdom and give these to Kerry:
NV 5
NM 5
AR 6

*Also, NH and IA are ours:
NH 4
IA 7

Add 27 more EVs, giving Kerry 308
- - - - - - - - - - - -
*In Play - 52 EVs:

CO - offers 9 EVs but voters get to decide on Nov 2 if the state divies that up. CO could tip to Kerry.

Other states in play -
AZ 10
HI 4
MO 11
WV 5
VA 13

These in play states could easily go to Kerry if the relentless bad news continues for bush this week.

19. Bush will win Florida.
Take it to the Bank...The Fix is in.
Every voter issue has been ripped apart by Republican Judges, Bush's Sleazy brother Jeb, and all the right-wing appointees.
Jeb has said he's going to make sure Florida's vote goes George's way and he'll do it no matter what strings he has to do, what under-handedness he has to work or what cheating he has to pull.

I'm serious here, Fellow/Sister...Florida's points will go into the Bush column.

22. Kerry will roll.
Edited on Tue Oct-26-04 06:39 PM by GreenArrow
Kerry takes:

Washington, Oregon, California, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, Hawaii, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, Missouri, Arkansas, Tennesee, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, Delaware, Rhode Island, DC, Massachusets, Connecticut, Maryland, New Jersey, Maine, Florida.

That's 387 for Kerry, 151 for George W. Son of a Bitch.

I wouldn't rule out Louisiana. (396 for Kerry then) The south in general will be closer than expected. I wouldn't rule out another surprise somewhere else unexpected either.

With 15 guys, some of whom might spy at DU. They could guess my handle simply by knowing my dog's name, which they do.

Kerry better than expected: Arkansas and Louisiana

Kerry worse than expected: Oregon and Colorado

26. Kerry 282 Bush 256
Edited on Tue Oct-26-04 09:54 PM by liberalpragmatist
Total vote: 125 million

Popular Vote Breakdown:
Kerry - 50% (62,500,000)
Bush - 47% (58,750,000)
Nader - 1% (1,250,000)
Badnarik - 1% (1,250,000)
Peroutka, others - 1% (1,250,000)

Kerry wins all the Gore states except Iowa, plus Ohio, New Hampshire, and Nevada. Virginia, NC, and Arkansas are shockingly close, along with Colorado, but go to Bush. Florida stays with Bush by a narrow margin.
