This is long but let me know what you think...
A parody anti-Bush site called Georgewbush.org recently discovered that they have been receiving emails intended for the Bush campaign.
Here is the link to the "dead emails" on GeorgeWBush.org
http://www.georgewbush.org/deadletteroffice/In a nutshell the first email on the "dead letters" site is From:
"Randa Fahmy Hudome (mailto:randa@fahmyhudome.com)
To: Professor Walid Phares (Phareswire@aol.com)
Hilary F White (hfwhite@yahoo.com)
CC TO: Jafar Karim (jkarim@georgewbush.org)
The email discusses some type of a press release being written by Walid Phares and/or Randa Fahmy Hudome, which will include the names of assorted Middle Eastern individuals that belong to a group called
"THE MIDDLE EASTERN AMERICAN NATIONAL CONFERENCE" who are supposdely backing Bush. (I couldn't find anything on the net that verifies the existence of this "group" MEANC as an organized coalition)
Randa Fahmy Hudome expresses concern over tainting Bush with scandal and alludes to a name which needs to remain off of the list.
(an individual named "Kamal Nawash") She also expresses concern regarding the rest of the signers being thouroughly vetted.
Now for some background on the individuals involved in this email:
Randa Fahmy Hudome- was an asst secretary of energy to Spence Abraham until a few months ago--she now runs her own Washington PR firm and was recently hired by Libya.
Professor Walid Phares (depending on what source you look at and I list several below) is an MSNBC "terrorism expert" (see links in bibliography) Another site accuses him of being a darling of the neo-cons and accuses him of meeting him with terrorist groups.
Hilary F White also had a "coalition Provisional authority" (CPA) email address as referenced on google. CPA Press releases all throughout the fall and summer of 2003 list Ms White as the contact regarding the releases.
http://216.239.41.104/search?q=cache:1XT0od67kuoJ:www.cpa-iraq.org/pressreleases/20040202_chao.html+Hilary+F.+White++&hl=en&ie=UTF-8The CC copy went to Jafar Karim (his real email address should have been jkarim@georgewbush.com but it was sent to Georgewbush.org in error)
Jafar Karim is the Bush-Cheney '04 National Coalitions Director.
My question is this: Why are an MSNBC "terrorism expert," a PR firm owner that is currently representing Libya and a previous government employee of the Coalition Provisional authority in Iraq clearing a so called press release with the Bush campaign's regional director???
If Walid Phares is writing press releases praising bush and is an MSNBC analyst isn't this yet again a conflict of interest???
(Kamal Nawash by the way, the name they wanted left off the list of endorsers, was tainted in a scandal involving a suspected terrorist tied character by the name of Alamoudi. Nawash represented himself as an Alamoudi lawyer per this article at a cached link:

What follows is the reprinted email in question from Georgewbush.org

Okay Walid - after our conversation I went ahead and did a google search on the names below. I am not sure if they are spelled correctly. I did not find anything questionable. Since I do not know most of them - I cannot vouch for their reputations. You will have to do that. Kamal Nawash cannot be on the list - for the reasons we discussed.
Remember this: We do not want to do anything that might harm the President's chances of re-election by exposing him to any controversy. If you have doubts about these names - perhaps we don't need to do this press release at all.
