LOL! He speaks to the ignorant is more like it.

Notice that the Pub would not say that Bush's numbers were going up.

11. I don't think there are that many hillbillies
At least I hope not or at least not as many as there use to be.

Besides any "hillbillies" that they are going after are probably already in their camp so a waste of time.

hillbillies or going after hillbilly votes. But, imho, your broad brush against that group of folks is extremely offensive. Note that the Democratic Party is going after as much of the hillbilly vote as we can get with economic policy that will help them and not billionares.

There is alot wrong with Zig-Zag Zell, though.

40. zig zag strikes a very visceral nerve with african americans
we know his kind and we know the talk, and it is offensive and rupulsive. Trust me on this one, I have no problem with being from the hills or rural america. i can't. But I do have a problem with zell miller and the very clear message he sends for the repug party.

23. It helps more if you edit the subject line, which is what was unclear
Clearer would be: "MSNBC: Bush unleashing Zell Miller, taking him on road" or something like that. As is, it reads like Zell is coming on Hardball, which would be everybody's fondest dream.

22. Let's see now...they said that Patti LaBelle was invited to the
Kerry/Clinton rally yesterday to help pull in the black vote. Instead of using the word 'said' I should have used the term 'pulled out of their asses' the theory of why Miss Patti sang the National Anthem in Philadelphia, but just who exactly does Zell pull in to the 'big tent' of the GOP.

Crazy, very angry, backwoodsy white men? Axe murderers?

43. If the Democrats had the party discipline of the Repugs
Zell Miller would not be allowed in the party. There is no way the pugs would have tolerated a pug senator (retiring or otherwise) to speak on behalf of the other party's canididate! The Democrats act as if it's just another example of the good ole Democratic bipartisanship.

Bipartisanship: means Democrats roll over and do whatever the pugs and Bush want.

52. That is absolutely WONDERFUL
Anyone who saw the SNL skit (Chris Matthews and Zell Miller) will be REMINDED of that recent, fabulous piece of comedy.

I gotta say, I just love the way ole Zell pronounces every possible vowel in the word DUEL.

I wouldn't call this move desperate, it really is more like DELUSIONAL. Even Republicans think that guy is not quite the full quid. But hey, get the asses in the seats, and if people show up hoping he'll start spitting spitballs again, it might be worth the indignity of a pat down and a loyalty oath for some pop culture freaks.

Zell is really the Pet Rock of the GOP.
