How to deal with an undecided voter
I just posted a new cartoon, rather large. A toungue-in-cheek primer for dealing with those last couple of undecided voters. It took a lot of time; perhaps too much (hey, as always, donations are gleefully accepted, and I'll even send you some original cartoon art and a signed print as a "thank you"). I probably only have one or two left in me before next Tuesday, including the DUComix toon for this coming Friday. But really, check this one out. It is probably the best one I've done to date, and is even set up as kind of a get-out-the-vote flyer. ENJOY! Chins up! We're in the home stretch!

2. Funny
But not helpful. The RW is already stoking the fires of violence.

4. Hi mooky, and welcome to DU
I realize it is harsh. The original version didn't have the rock in the final frame...the woman was just asking him if his foot was still "on the fence." He replied "It's evaluating the candidate's health care plans." Probably funnier and lighter, and maybe I'll even still post that version. Thanks for your input...but it IS just a cartoon, and I did put a disclaimer at the bottom!

6. Thanks for the welcome
True, it is only a cartoon. It doesn't necessarily have to be helpful to be funny.

It's a pretty good analogy.

5. How to deal with an undecided voter - REVISED
Okay...so I agree...it didn't need the final frame. It was too much of the ol' ultra-violence.

Click the link again, refresh your browser if you have to. I should have gone with my first insticts.

7. Your instincts were right!
Okay, this is truly funny now that I look at it "fresh."

It has some mild violent undertones which stir an emotion, but it is done in a very subtle way as to convey the actual meaning. The "foot on the fence" comment is perfect.

8. I was trying not the "beat the reader over the head"
You know, when you have to explain a joke....

I was thinking the guy sitting "on the fence" was an obvious enough metaphor. I didn't want to have to use "on the fence" in the dialogue, too, but clearly it makes a more succinct point. However, I still prefer the metaphorical rock of Bush's foriegn policy falling down on the uninformed voter. It is just too easy to take the wrong way...as if it were simply advocating beating the crap out of people for people ignorant. You were right on, that in these final days, appearing to incite a violent reaction is not in the best interest of our cause.

I work alone, and do these things in a vacuum, so I really do appreciate the input. The reaction so far has been mixed...just about everyone likes the overall message, but most seem to agree the "milder" version still gets the point across without the violent inference.

I have to remember that 61% of America still thinks Saddam took part in 9/11!
