Capt FPR, my flight student, F-14 pilot, and airline captain: KERRY! |
|
FPR swings both ways. He voted for Clinton once, then Dole. Then he voted for Bu$h-Jr. (2000). Now he rues that day. He is as big a Kerry supporter as I am.
What is my point? Pull out the old address book and call old friends. FPR and I had not talked in a year or two. Before I could bring politics up, he did. Our side. Great phone conversation. Great fighter pilot. Check six.

My family was evenly split about a year ago between * and any of the Dems. I'm from Texas, so that should tell you something...well, one by one the * supporters have decided he's a piece of poo. With the exception of my fundamentalist nutcase oldest sis, and my Lockheed-employed next-oldest sis, we're all squarely on the Kerry bandwagon.
The biggest shocker came from my ex--he's now supporting Kerry. My daughter is 13 and a left-wing activist in her own right, and damn if she didn't open his eyes about *! I'd written him off as totally devolved, but she conviced him to watch "F 9/11" and it changed his mind.
Keep up the good work, man!
One week to go... By the way, I'm in Oregon now, and we vote by mail. Sent my ballot off today. Hooray!

Best fighter pilot I ever knew. When I talk about him, I throw my head back, way past 180-degrees, checking my uncovered six. Know what I mean Vern?
