Automated message of course. It asked me to vote for pro-life candidates. Little did the machine know that woman makes me sick. She is like a plastic puppet with paste on smiles. Anyway, I already voted for the "pro-death" candidates so her machine was too late.

2. I voted pro-life. Kerry and Edwards!
They believe in the sanctity of human life and will do everything they can to protect it. Their records prove this.

shrub, on the other hand, thinks nothing of murdering tens of thousands of people and destroying the environment, our mother. And what has shrub ever done to prevent abortions, may I ask?

I voted my conscience and my spiritual beliefs. I voted for Kerry.

7. I see it the same way. K-E are the ONLY pro-life candidates
... on the ticket.

* protects babies until their 10th month of life (i.e. birth). Then, all bets are off.

- Weak health insurance for kids, Texas being among the weakest. CHIP premiums are going up, and thousands of kids who were covered are being cut.
- Welfare "reform" ha, ha. A third of Texas kids are hungry.
- High stakes testing determines which children are "worthy" of passing to the next grade. The Texas "miracle" which led to Rod Paige and NCLB was based upon pure fraud. Dropouts simply disappeared.
- NCLB allows military recruiters free access to student records. No other organization has the same access. Recruiters promise college tuition and a regular paycheck in exchange for a few hours' service per month in the Guard or reserves.
- Bush marched into a pointless war, using (and losing) Guard and Reserve troops on a scale not seen since WWII.
- Bush won't honor lost troops by attending, or even acknowledging, their funerals.
- Meanwhile, here in the states, kids who commit heinous acts as minors can still be put to death for their crimes.
- GWB loves the death penalty in general. Texas kills people more than
- GWB's inheritance tax cut meant that public university tuitions in TX went up, a lot. Poor kids are priced out.
- GWB advocates only abstinance programs for sex ed. in the public schools. Teenage pregnancy rates not affected. As a result, another generation of poor babies is born. Repeat cycle.

A Cardinal (Catholic, not St. Louis) calls Bush on his "pro life" bullshit. (Freep in this case means Detroit Free Press. )

5. "Pro-life" in their world
is supporting:

death penalty
uneeded war (thousands upon thousands of military and civilian death)
removing support for lower-income family
the propping up of dictatorships having no concern for human life

on and on and on...

8. If she is so pro-life ask her...
Why abortion rates have sky-rocketed the past 4 years under a republican majority in the house, senate, and of course Chimpy in the executive branch. Anyone that is truly pro-life, will vote democrat.

I would have told her, "No, I'm pro-choice, and furthermore, I wish YOUR mother had had an abortion."
