First the registered voters in Nevada by party with breakdown for the two biggest counties.
County Dem Rep Ind/Third Clark (Vegas) 298,246 254,952 131,115 Washoe (Reno) 83,609 101,212 48,274 All Other Counties 47,893 78,075 27,725 Totals 429,748 434,239 207,114
As you see, Pugs have about 4500 more registered voters than Dems. Voter registration fraud hurt us here.
Below are early voter totals as reported from Clark and Washoe counties, broken down by party. I didn’t find the smaller counties reported on the net.
Dem Rep Ind/Third Clark co 70,581 64,920 23,747 Washoe 7,541 7,604 2,490 Totals 78,122 72,524 26,237
Assuming that Kerry gets 88% of Dems, 6% of Pugs and 60% of others, (ignoring third party candidates) then the vote looks like this as of close of business Monday.
Kerry Bush 90,291 86,592
Play around with your own assumptions for fun.
If we add 10% early voters from the smaller counties we get these numbers using the same assumptions:
Kerry Bush 96,794 95,458
The race is probably very tight based on early voting. It is all going to come down to TURNOUT.
