MediaMatters; 101st & NBC embed NOT the first team to Al QaQaa
FOX News Channel co-host Sean Hannity, CNN host Wolf Blitzer, and ABC News's online political briefing "The Note" all suggested that NBC reported that the explosives were already gone by the time the U.S. military first arrived on April 10, 2003, at the installation in question.

But at no point did the October 25 NBC report claim that the April 10 stopover of U.S. troops, which included an embedded NBC reporter, was the first time the U.S. military visited the Al Qa Qaa installation. Indeed, the Associated Press reported that U.S. soldiers had been there six days earlier, and did find evidence of explosives.

Moreover, the same NBC correspondent who issued the October 25 report clarified on October 26 that troops were simply passing through the installation on April 10 and were not looking for explosives.

Hannity, Blitzer, et al; LIARS. Plain & simple.

2. Lynn, I want to thank you for being on top of this story.
I've used some of your research to email several cable news shows who are leaving out that the 3rd IF was at Al QaQaa on April 3rd and that they found thousands of boxes of white powder. Also worthy of note, the IAEA seal that everyone is talking about is on the DOORS of the facility, not on the boxes or the explosives themselves. This was stated by Hans Blix on the Lou Dobbs show this evening.

3. I know this is a dumb question

But I have a friend that believes that the mercenaries have the explosives.

He thinks that Halliburton and all those other clowns have taken the explosives and are somehow selling them.

I hate the hell out of Halliburton but I can't understand how that would be humanly possible.

I didn't want to tell him that he was nuts. I really don't have an understanding other than my belief that it is another GW Mess Up.
