Soldiers are refusing to report for duty. Iraq continues to go very badly and the press can't paint it rosy any more. Explosives go missing (still).

Maybe they figure it's time to give somebody else a shot because they've screwed it up so royally? I don't know, but the final week is looking good. And George is helping!

4. Funny...
I was thinking the same thing, perhaps subconsciously if nothing else? Suppose spending 40% of his time on vacation hasn't been good enough, all of the "hard work" is cutting into W's fun time on the ranch. :)

On Nov. 2 we all win! :)

6. It only makes sense
although not a whole lot (more like nothing) they have done makes sense, but Jesus you have to wonder how fucked up it will get if the morons did happen to remain in power. Let us hope that everything falls our way, it sure as heck looks good right now.

7. There's a good possibility that by election day

they'll have taken their stolen billions and left the country.

10. Wow! Wouldn't that be the scandal of the new century?
Although they haven't left much to pillage, have they?

9. No, but it does seem they know they will lose...
Aside from the fact they picked the final week to request another $70B for Iraq, and * signed that major corporate giveaway a few days ago...

Why would he risk letting loose these damaging actions just before the election unless he knew he were going to lose?

11. Bush will probably
push the button
just before he leaves.
:nuke:

That is,
if he can find it.

12. I've wondered this too
Between Bush going back on the topics mentioned and some of Laura Bush's comments - and the fact that they just don't seem to be working very hard for it, are taking days off this close to the election - could they know it's basically over? Or is Bush ready to get out and let Kerry in, in hopes of getting a pardon?

13. No
They've invested too much but I have to say, Bush has been saying some really stupid things (I know that's not saying much) that can't be good for his campaign.

14. I don't think so
I think the Bushies are torn between believing their own lies and trying desperately to come up with new ones, because for them, winning is everything.

They know friggin' well that WHEN Kerry wins, the investigations begin on January 21. And war crimes don't exactly get a pass, even in our society, when the bright light is brought upon them.
