The Freeps are deliberately misreading to pretend the poll is
an "on-line" poll (after all, doesn't the top of the webpage say "on-line"?). It's not. They, like their president, are best when taking a word, phrase, or sentence out of context and blowing it WAY out of proportion.

If you want a good laugh, read (and enjoy) here

5. My best friend lives in Vegas...
He was one of the victims of that group that was tearing up Democratic registrations... He says that he complained, and was told that there is a court battle being fought right now and that he should take the "receipt" part of his registration to the polls and vote anyway... and that his "vote" would be held until a judge decided whether to allow the ripped-off registrants to be included.

9. Sorry to disappoint you but

this is an *online* poll.

" The Harris Poll was conducted online within the U.S. Oct. 21-25, 2004 among a nationwide cross section of 2,493 likely voters"

"Propensity score weighting was also used to adjust for respondents' propensity to be online"

May be in the future online polls will be as rigorous if not more than current phone polls, but I don't think we're there yet.

Of course, just as any poll it gives a hint of the real situation, but I would rate the real MoE at +/- 10.
