Fellow night owls -- report sightings of small -- W 04 -- stickers
The only B/C related bumper stickers I've seen in this area are tiny stickers -- with a bold W and a tiny 04 offset to the right.

These are so subtle that my husband has missed them until I pointed out that a "stupid" was driving the car. He had no idea that the W 04 -- was a political bumper sticker.

In 2000 there were big bold B/C 2000 bumper stickers -- not this year.

-- area -- Western Washington

And the Kerry bumper stickers are HUGH -- as are the yard signs.

5. With the bush economy they cannot afford the big ones.
You would think this would be their first clue.

15. I think it's more that
they don't want to put too big a sticker on their $40,000 SUVs. Taking it off after the election they don't want to wreck their bumper or anything. God forbid if they mess up what that wonderful tax loophole helped them buy.

9. Here in Macon...
...The little W04 stickers are friggin' everywhere. Not sure whether I see more of those or the actual Bush/Cheney 04 stickers, though. People around here are so proud to be Bush supporters -- try talking to most of them, though, and you begin to understand why. I won't say everyone here is stupid, but ignorant and misinformed are probably appropriate terms. Oh well, I've been seeing loads more K/E stickers in the past week or two, so I'm happy..:)

17. Here in NE Ohio I think "W04" is a bit more popular than "Bush/Cheney"
But I no longer think it's because they're ashamed (I did at first because the "W04" stickers were the only ones I saw for a while). I think it probably has something to do with the "W04" looking a bit lighter and happier than the starker, in-your-face "Bush/Cheney" sticker. Maybe self-involved and complacent people who love this great booming Bush economy choose the "W04" sticker, while fearful and angry people who know America is UNDER ATTACK! go with "Bush/Cheney".

At any rate, the good news is that the Kerry and Kerry/Edwards stickers and yard signs outnumber the various Bush ones by a substantial margin. I don't have my tally sheet with me or I'd give the actual figures.

And recently I've seen a few cars with big "Voinovich" stickers on them (Voinovich is the Republican Senate incumbent running against Democratic candidate Eric Fingerhut) that are conspicuously devoid of any "Bush/Cheney" sentiment.

18. It's because they're free

They sent those little oval W stickers to everyone who EVER voted Republican. That's why you see so many of them. I'm assuming the other ones, you had to buy.
