Can you get any more desperate than this?

Parents, take your small children off the streets and lock up your houses because Halloween is coming early to Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Yes, ole Crazy Uncle Zell's coming to town! You remember him at the Republican Convention? That crazed-looking lunatic who was spewing hate (and a lot of spit) during his keynote address on the convention floor and later challenged Tweety to a duel? The guy who was such an embarrassment that they took away his primo seats for Bush's address? Yeah, that Zell Miller.

Good lord, don't those guys remember how much of a horse's ass he was at the convention? SNL didn't last week. They had a great Hardball satire that included one of the cast playing Zell, and he was great! I can't believe too many other people forgot him, either.

10. What I like about Uncle Zell is that the wingnuts trot him out to show a
Dem supporting Bush when we have disowned him long ago. He is more an embarrassment for repubs than he is to us.

Zell is like the man without a country only he is a man with out a political party. I'm amazed that the repubs are still playing the Zell card. They can't get the gropeinator Ahhnald so the are trotting out Zell. That shows their desperation, they can't even find a sensible repug to campaign with Bush!

17. It's GOTV tactic...
Democrats and Independents don't really like Zell, but the GOP loves him. In their minds, he validates their views and is therefore the only honest Democrat.

26. Supposedly this is an appeal to Democrats? I don't think so. I think it
is an appeal to the fundie base in PA and OH. And as the Ragin' Cajun Carville said so wisely, "Show me a campaign that is appealing to its base in October and I will show you a campaign that is in the toilet."

32. Is it official that Arnie has dropped out?
That is so freakin' cool if it's official. I've been hoping he'd see the writing on the wall. Not that I like Arnie, but I guess he has a certain appeal that might have crossed over for Ohioans.

30. Bush needs to bring in Alan Keyes too,
to appeal to black voters. Zell will get the democrats to vote for Bush, for sure. But keep Zell and Alan separated from each other, or they might kill each other in a duel! This just shows how desperate Bush, Rove, and Co. have become. Kerry in a landslide!
