Blair admits – yes, I’ve met Kerry
The Times
By Tom Baldwin

AFTER months of embarrassed silence over links with US Democrats, Downing Street finally admitted yesterday that Tony Blair had twice met John Kerry, who is challenging the Prime Minister’s war ally President Bush for the Oval Office.

The disclosure suggests that Mr Blair may be hedging his bets on the outcome of the US elections.

Previously the Government has raised no objection to claims, repeated on both sides of the Atlantic, that Mr Blair had “never met” the Democratic presidential candidate.

Attempts to arrange formal talks during the Prime Minister’s visit to Washington at Easter foundered on “scheduling difficulties”.

EITHER Poodle is so confident that Junior will win November 2nd that he doesn't need to do more than a perfunctory "yeah I've said hello" or he's made a monumental gaffe in not extending normal diplomatic courtesies to Kerry as the next POTUS....
Badly advised whatever way you look at it.

1. TELL TONY BLAIR WE'RE GOING ALONE!
TELL TONY BLAIR!

Blair is Bush's boyfriend.. of course, he would deny meeting Kerry. He doesn't want his lover to get jealous.

3. It's personal. Junior's unopposed meteoric rise in public life was
only made possible through deception by Thatcher(1979-90) who colluded with US and US security/intelligence agencies to whitewash his known criminal career.

Blair's New Labour is merely the New Electable Tory Party after 18 years of sleaze and corruption under Thatcher and Major.

They had to put in mercenaries under the New Labour flag to keep gagging those Cold War secrets.

4. There is a book by Sid Blumenthal,
Clinton's closest aide, in which he talks about meeting Blair before Blair or Clinton had even held office. He talked about their political connection - what he percieved as Blair's devotion to Progressive causes. This was supposed to be why Blair and Clinton got along so well, why they were friends outside of public life ... they thought alike.

I guess Blumenthal was sold a bill of goods, because he was certianly under the impression that they had everything in common. This Tony Blair doesn't resemble the man described at all.

I remember when Blair came to Washington right after 9/11, I felt good about seeing him because I thought, "Well, at least there is a Progressive voice in the mix." Alas, it was not to be.
