Bush must be losing because my neighbor
Edited on Wed Oct-27-04 08:44 AM by devrc243
across the street is not talking to me! When she put her Bush/Cheney sign in her yard and I put my Kerry/Edwards sign in my yard, I noticed there was a slow chill, however, she still would wave and say "hi," but this morning, as I was walking my kids to school, she was outside and I said, "hi, how are you doing" and she turned and closed her garage." My daughter said, "mom, she ignored you." I said, "oh,well, it's gotta be tough for 'em.":D

Why can't we all just get along...:eyes:

3. I thought just my...
moronic neighbors were ignoring us. THey have a Bush Cheney sign right next door and one on the mini-van. We live on a cul-de-sac so i chose not to play the pissing game, but me and my wife both put Kerry/Edwards stickers on our car and they have been avoiding us along with the neighbors across the street. Idiots! What a unifier their sh*t-for-brains resident is!!

But for the sake of Kerry, I'll endure:evilgrin:

5. When we win, we must be gracious
Freepers & neocons act like children. Let us be the adults and find a way to connect with them again, treat them respectfully, and move forward together.

I know, sounds impossible, but it must be done. If not, we're going to spend the next 50 years in a vast struggle with each other, to the detriment of the nation.

When Kerry wins, I'm going to say "Nyah!!" and "I told you so!" and rub it in as much as possible. It's quite possible that any ensuing Civil War will be my fault.

calling me the wicked witch of the east. I'll assume that people wanted underfunded schools, etc., and I will not donate to ANYTHING, will not help anyone who votes for Blinky*, nor would I piss on one of them if his/her guts were on fire.

As the rwingers would say, it's part of living with the consequences of your choices.

Rove, shrub, Cheney and the rest of that vile group need and have used division and hate to keep themselves as popular as they can. It's a copy out of the rise of Nazi Germany, without fear and hate they quickly fade away. Without and enemy they have nothing.

11. I haven't heard from my uncle
that was always sending me vile emails talking about GO BUSH GO! STEAL SOME MORE VOTES JEB. GO GO GO! BEAT KERRY! and all that garbage! It could be the fact that Kerry is still hanging tough or the fact that I told him a little bit about his candidate last time around! :) Either way the emails have stopped. I'm embarrassed to have an uncle like that but I think the almost 30 years as an Air Force officer just did something to his brain cells. LOL

family members. My sister and her husband--fundies. My other sister--she calls herself an indepenent but likes $$$--so she leans toward Bush. Another one who is married to a fundie, but despises Bush. One saving grace is my life-long Democratic mom. I love her dearly.:D

It's been this way for years, but NEVER has it been this bad. The only one I talk politics with is my mom and the sister who thinks Bush is a moron. The fundie sister and I never speak. Sad.

32. I came here today because
a dear friend flooded my inbox with her Repig propaganda. I was nice and just replied that we'd been friends for a long time and we wouldn't change each others minds with forwarded emails and such. I had refrained from sending her pro-Kerry or anti-Bush emails because I respected her right to choose, and she should respect mine.

That's the difference between Republicans and Democrats. I may think (know) she's wrong, but I will never ever slam her for her choices. Some Repig friends flat out tell me I'm ignorant and not very intelligent for being a Dem...that we're all stupid rednecks and they can't see how someone with my education can be one.

I guess this dumb redneck just isn't easily led...But I am stressed to the eyeballs about next week, so I'm near tears with thankfulness you guys are here.

And I'll quit being cheesy and go read some more posts now.

39. That's also been a bad habit that cost us the last election
and others as well. I'M SICK OF BEING THE BETTER PERSON. I won't do it anymore. Anyone who sends me unwelcome piggly bullshit gets their email debunked and a reasoned fact filled reply explaining why they are wrong and how they are being lied to. I've even been known to send graphic photos of dead Iraqi children with the question, does this child look like an enemy combatant to you? Does she look grateful or free?

If they are going to be willfully ignorant and chose to inflict it on me, I chose to be willfully brutal and inflict some REALITY on them. Just that simple.

Ya see when you try to rationalize what is not rational it does not seem to work. Thats because it isn't rational. They can't really be thinking with rational minds and still supporting *.

Since the support is based on emotional and so called religious convictions they will do things that are so irrational it might be really desperate out there after Kerry wins.

14. I just talked to one of my best friends...
a die hard Republican voting for Bush. About 6 months ago we made a bet of who would win the election. The stakes? A case of beer.

I just asked him how confident he was? He said he was much more confident a month ago than he is today, I said, funny I was less confident a month ago also. ;)

Go Kerry!! The future of America and 24 beers rest on your shoulders!

for at least 12 years. 8 years for what they did to Bill Clinton and 4 years more for stealing the 2000 election and putting the idiot-in-chief in office. They have destroyed this country and as I see it, they deserve PAYBACK. Big Time.

It's all I can do to sit in the same room with a repuke.

I "almost" left a Halloween Party Saturday night because 2 cars parked in front of me had B/C bumperstickers on them. :puke: I had to make myself go in. :puke: I don't hold grudges though. :7 I truly do hate those people. They support everything I detest about this country.

33. I'm with YOU
You know I never used to feel this way...

I can recall during the Clinton/Dole election cycle just sort of joking around about *my guy is better than your guy* and that kind of thing...but it was never really hostile - it was basically like ribbing by people that support an opposing sports team.

That all changed with "Monica gate"

For months after the impeachment I just sort of avoided the topic with RW relatives but inevitably THEY would throw in a barb, or smart assed remark at family gatherings--and if that went ignored they'd just get more blatant until I finally reacted.

Of course when I dared to say anything to dispute them...then suddenly *I* was the butt of a joke (another trait of the Bushite repuke...they always pull this crap in numbers because one on one they wouldn't have the nerve)

It has now become intolerable for me to subject myself to the Bush variety GOP'er--maybe it was the last election, or maybe it's the *war* but I don't want anything to do with them!

Like a flood, tornado,or hurricane. The legacy of Furious George and Little Dick will be "a nation divided" for many, many, years.:puke:

When Kerry wins...all the RW Media will start to "tear down" his legitimacy 24/7 between November and January 20th. Just like Clinton's Administration.

Who can forget when the botched Zoe Baird appointment lead to the headline's of "A Failed Presidency" in the media.

As for your neighbors: Keep Greeting them;Act politely..it'll make YOU feel better.

38. Big fights with my mother over this!
My mom is long time Republican and so are all of her friends. She lives in NJ during the summer and down here in Florida during the winter, (they call them "snowbirds" - no money problems with these people).

Anyway, after the last hurricane I was checking her place, (everything was fine) but before I left I put a BIG JOHN KERRY sign in her front window!

Fortunately my family has always been practical jokers, (and she knows about the sign - her neighbors called her!) but I am LOVING this one because she can't take it down until AFTER the election when she comes down for the winter! O8)

49. My kids yell
"vote John Kerry, vote John Kerry," everytime they see him or anything with his or Edwards name on it. I took them to the rally in July when Edwards came to our town and they got to see politics first hand. My spouse tells them not to yell "vote john Kerry" at school and they asked why and he had to explain that not everyone likes John Kerry the way we do. Later he told me how sad that we have to do this for fear of retaliation.
