New Yorker magazine slams Bush as incompetent

The New Yorker magazine broke with tradition Tuesday and endorsed Democratic Sen. John Kerry for president, calling President George Bush incompetent.

In its 80-year history, the magazine's editors have never published a partisan opinion on presidential candidates.

'While Bush has pandered relentlessly to the narrowest urges of his base, Kerry has sought to appeal broadly to the American center. ... He is plainly the better choice,' the editors wrote.

The editorial goes on at length about perceived inadequacies and the electoral legitimacy of the administration, while juxtaposing the Massachusetts senator as a logical alternative.

'In every crucial area of concern to Americans, Kerry offers a clear, corrective alternative to Bush's curious blend of smugness, radicalism, and demagoguery,' the editorial said before concluding with a stinging indictment.

1. It didn't take much effort to come to that conclusion

The New Yorker should be happy that bush is so simple and easy to read and define. He's a fucking idiot, military deserter, drug abuser and corporate criminal; and that is merely an objective view from way down south in Mississippi.
