What happens if the electric power goes out at polling places where they are using computerized balloting. We know that many do not keep a paper trail, if any. Do they at least have a multiple hour battery back-up? Could a judge extend the hours in that case? I could see this happening in a number of close states.

I think you will find that most places are ill-prepared for this.
