Don't buy all that "we always expected a tight race" rhetoric we're hearing from the Republicans. They thought they'd have John Kerry on the ropes by now, buried under a sea of negative attacks and relentless spending by Bush and the GOP. But we didn't let it happen. So now the Republicans are pulling out every trick in their playbook in these final days. We'd be fools to underestimate how far they will go to try to pull victory from the jaws of defeat.
I can tell you the most important thing we can do is get our voters to the polls. Your contribution before Friday's deadline will fund "make or break" voter contact efforts in key swing states like Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Florida.
Our deadline is three days away:
https://www.democrats.org/support/kerry.htmlThe truth is, elections rarely stay this close for this long -- one campaign is usually coasting towards victory and the other is struggling to stay afloat. That's not the case this year -- we're neck-and-neck with only days to go.
The election is six days away. But you have far less time than that to make your final financial contribution to help John Kerry and the Democratic Party. Our absolute deadline is midnight on Friday. The sooner you send your "race to the finish line" donation, the more it will help.
https://www.democrats.org/support/kerry.htmlThis is my final chance to talk to you before November 2. So let me remind you of something I've told you before. Next Tuesday, John Kerry and George Bush will both wake up with enough potential votes to win this election. Whichever side does a better job getting its voters to the polls will win. Make sure we have the resources we need to get all our voters to the polls on Election Day.
Thank you,
James Carville
